JQ Sabers "the Jedi Quartermasters" (Remembering Susan)
« on: April 15, 2020, 11:38:12 AM »
Hello everyone

It is with a heavy heart that this announcement is being made.
Over the Weekend the saber community has lost one of our own.

Daren and Susan were the team that made up JQ sabers and on Sunday Susan passed away.

As far as I have been told it was not related to the current pandemic with the virus
but the lost was sudden, un expected and could not have come at a worse time.

JQ sabers has been around since 2009-10 and joined the Saber Guild here at FX in 2011
They worked hard and became the counterpart equivalent of TCSS and VV for saber fans
as one of the first Manufacturers and affiliates in the European Region helping others and
supplying fans with everything from Parts and DIY kits to completed sabers.

Susan was the primary customer service liaison that most of us would talk to when we did
business with JQs and she was always patient and kind to everyone around her always
ready to lend a helping hand or offer advise.

On behalf of myself and all of us here at FX and the community world wide we extend our deepest
sympathies and prayers to Daren for His loss of a great partner and friend.

Susan will be missed but never forgotten.

May the Force be with You
always
The FX-SABERS Team

This hurts.  So much.

Susan was Sunshine in England: bright, warming, welcome... entirely too rare, but all the more precious because of it.

Susan truly was an amazing person. My heartfelt sympathies to Daren and their families. My heart hurts for you guys- praying peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Pass on what you have learned. Strength. Mastery. But weakness, folly, failure also. Yes, failure most of all. The greatest teacher, failure is. We are what they grow beyond. That is the true burden of all masters. ~Master Yoda~

This is terrible news. Susan was one of a kind.

I find your arguments vague and unconvincing.

Quiet! *Slap* And there’s a fresh one if you mouth off again.

I've been genuinely gutted since the news was first announced on facebook on monday. Susan was just the most excellent person, and it was always a delight getting an email from her when I put an order in. She's going to be missed.
I used to be a Jedi like you, then I took a lightsaber to the knee

Susan has been so kind, helpful and patient from the first time we made contact when I began this hobby.
I'm shocked and so saddened by this news.
My deepest sympathies to Daren and family.

Paul.

Sad news indeed...I didn't know her personally,  but everyone I know that had dealings with her said it was always a pleasure. The hobby has lost one of the great ones.

Daren, I'm so sorry for your loss.

I remember communicating with Susan as a JQ Saber was one of my first high end custom sabers. I still have and treasure that lightsaber. She was kind and accommodating every time.

Susan will be missed.

I'm afraid the deflector shield with be quite operational when your friends arrive.

I only knew her on JSSDC and one order of a Luke ROTJ foregrip but she was so helpful and nice...truly a 'bright light' in the saber hobby/industry, may she RIP.

Deepest condolences on your loss...I will pray for her.
