I've been doing a lot of work behind the scenes, and documenting with photos as much as I have time to. I'll share what I can after the saber debuts on Thursday, coincidentally, I'm hoping to finish it then!
In order to light up the gems I repurposed these PCBs. Instead of a 3535 pixel, they now have a couple resistors and an LED. Originally the PCBs were intended to convert 12mm AV
switches into pixels switches. (I'll note that most of the blobby soldering is intentional, as I needed to bridge/extend pads that weren't intended for tiny 0603 and 0805 components)
Check back later this week for the debut of this really unique and complex saber!
