OK, so I am reasonably experienced with audacity.
Recently I was making a font and I made a noob's error: I looped a sound without ensuring the join was at 0 Db.
However, it seemed to be fine and so I decided to leave it since the loop is rhythmic and I didn't want to disturb the timing. Lucky me, I thought.. not a single click or pop, I've got away with it.
Nope! As soon as it was loaded into a saber, there was an almighty crack at the join. Fail
Well, I've fixed it. But WHY did I not encounter the fault when playing back in audacity? Is there a setting somewhere that I can turn-off any smoothing type algorithm it uses for playback?
Any suggestions gratefully received.
