Petro's Lightsaber
« on: November 16, 2013, 01:10:35 PM »
So I am in the middle of season 5 and jsut finished the sequence with all the younglings. First off, all of the lore behind the crystals was awesome! Second off, seeing lightsabers being built and in all new designs was even better! I really liked petro's lightsaber, and was wondering if anyone had built something like it or thought about it?

It seems to have taken a few cues from the V2 (ribbed section) and the Yoda (grip plates). You can see the trace card and a graflex lever on there too! I really like the design, and would definitely consider doing something like this for a future build, especially the grip plate esque elements on the bottom :)

Yeah Wesley from Nocturne Armory made one of these earlier this year.

yes this was one of my favorite episodes of the whole series.
a nice change from the war, and great insight to the caves at ilium.
nice to see some history as to the selection of the crystals also

That is one thing that I absolutely love about the clone wars series (and other SW books, for that matter). They delve into so much cool backstory and lore that the movies just didn't have time to explore, and personally that is what makes the whole universe for me.
