Master Danva's .45 collection -A new beginning
« on: January 04, 2008, 08:35:55 PM »
As some of you know, I sold off my mini collection, but an opprotunity presented itself that I absolutely could not resist. Tonk Toys on Ebay has been selling Gold minis left and right and yours truly has been there to cash in so-to-speak.

I've bought 4 GOLD MINIS for between $25-$35 shipped each!!!  :o :o :o

I've gotten :

Anakin AOTC Gold

Luke ESB Gold -Two of them, one I sold very fast for only $65 shipped on Rebel Scum forums to finance the next two Gold Chase's :

Vader ESB Gold $23 shipped!!!!!  :o :o :o

Anakin ROTS $26 shipped!!!!  :o :o :o -Got this one from another reputable seller on Ebay, FYI. ;)

So...here we go again... ::) :P

Here's the first two that came in the mail :

I'll take pics of all 4 when the rest come in the mail.

2010...I certainly hope it's better than 2009 was! ::)
10/10/10~Well, so far with my Father's passing away, I'd say that this year was actually worse than 2009, even the fact that I now have a full time job (For now) isn't anywhere near enough to make up for that...so...maybe 2011 will be better? I'm not holding my breath... ::)

The Luke ESB mini can fetch $125 easily, and I snagged it for $35...can you blame me? :P The Anakin AOTC and Vader ESB are worth about $75 a piece and the Anakin ROTS should still fetch at least $50.

Considering I got all of these for between $25-35 shipped, I'd say I did xxx good.  I don't think I will see another opprotunity like this again for a WHILE. So I have no regrets at all.

Tonk Toys sold about 10 Luke ESB Gold minis, if not more, and people have been snapping them up for about the same ammount as I did. The Luke ESB Gold minis are among the more valuble of the Gold Chases running around out there.

But you're right, I feel like the fat girl in the shower crying and eating donuts when it comes to these things... :D

I snagged a couple from Toynk as well. Your right, at those prices, it's hard to resist the Force...

I see they modified their auctions slightly on these. Now they have a low starting bid and a "buy it now" price. I'm waiting for them to slap a reserve on them soon.

These Gold minis are only 5% of the total run of 5,000 sabers per character hilt. So, for every character saber made, there are only 250 Gold Chase's that exist, peroid.

Gold Chases are ALWAYS worth more than the regular hilts. If you see ANY Gold chase on Ebay for $25-35, snag it. The ones to look out for are :

Count Dooku AOTC/Darth Tyranus ROTS

Mace Windu AOTC

Obi-Wan Kenobi ANH

Obi-wan Kenobi AOTC...that one will fetch between $300-$400 on Ebay!!!

Vader ESB or ANH

Luke ESB or ANH

Look for those, those are the main Gold minis that are worth the most and the hardest to get.

Not almost Resev, they were a steal.

I got a good deal for 6 regular minis for 90 bucks. It's all the OT minis, and they are all i'm getting.

Good deals there Joclad!

I myself am just going to collect the 3 ANH golds.  As they are my favorite hilts.

OT hilt designs are just amazing.

Someone was recently selling a set of 6 or 8 gold mini's. I think they wanted $250-$300 for the set. It did not have an Obi AOTC so I didn't think it was worth it plus I don't really need any of them.

P.S. I think I paid $85 for my Obi AOTC Gold about a year ago..

Wow. Nice catch there! I'd love to pick up a gold Luke ESB and a gold Vader ESB for that cheap!

Actually....I DID have a gold Vader ESB once upon a time... but what I traded it for I wanted more. I traded it for the following:

Luke EBAY Bright Chrome
Obi-Wan C3 Dark Chrome
Sidious European EX. Bright Chrome
Yoda European EX. Bright Chrome

Pretty good trade I think, especially since I picked up that particual gold mini at Tuesday Morning for a hefty 9.99$
:D

I've always wanted the OT gold minis!  Right now the only gold minis I have are Anakin ROTS, OWK ROTS, and Tyranus ROTS.
