One more Gold .45 to the collection...

I just won an Ebay auction for an Obi-Wan ROTS .45 Gold Chase for $43 including shipping.  ;D

So now I have :

Darth Sidious ROTS Gold .45

Mace Windu ROTS Gold .45

Obi-Wan ROTS Gold .45

2010...I certainly hope it's better than 2009 was! ::)
10/10/10~Well, so far with my Father's passing away, I'd say that this year was actually worse than 2009, even the fact that I now have a full time job (For now) isn't anywhere near enough to make up for that...so...maybe 2011 will be better? I'm not holding my breath... ::)

Congrats on your purchase.  I'm actually going to be selling a gold ani rots and gold celebration 3 obi saber.  I'll post links in the for sale section later on.

How do they look in person?  I've not been too impressed with the gold ones, from what I've seen on ebay.  I have one coming to me now (I don't know which), and unless it looks really cool, or is a saber I really like, then I'll probably be selling it.

I guess it depends on your tastes, some of them are just plain gold, with no accents and those don't look too good. But my Mace has the black rubber grips, so that offsets the gold and that's pretty cool. The Sidious has the red button jewel, so I like that one too. But I like them all because they are rare by their own nature seeing as only around 5% of the run on any hilt are gold.  8)

I'm thinking if it's Vader or Tyranus I might like it enough to keep it, plus, I still need a Vader mini.  I think the ones that are just gold look a little to plain for my tastes.  I'll let you know when it arrives.

I've had myself 8 different gold sabers.  I have to say they really look cool in person, except for the ani rots.  That one just seems weird in gold.

Right now I am bidding on an Anakin AOTC Gold .45, but it is unlikely that I will win that one...but one day, I will have all the hilts that I like in Gold.  8)

I had the Yoda in gold and it looked alright
I like my Obi wan ROTYS Gold and my Vader ROTS in gold

I got real lucky and got my Obi wan ROTS gold for 7 bucks plus shipping

I'll eventually have one too (I don't know which) and unless I really like it (I'd probably keep the Luke ANH, Luke ESB, Anakin ROTS, or any Obi-wan) I'll probably sell it (I want a Yoda ANH graflex very bad!)
