Your "personal" lightsaber Glams
« on: November 21, 2010, 05:33:32 PM »
Hi guys, being fairly new to the ligthsaber scene, I trolled around for the last year before a kind sabersmith advised I register for an account on here. Fair to say, I've been on the forums everyday since then. I've enjoyed looking at alot of the picture within different threads on sabers commissioned to larger collections that include MR FX sabers and other personal build projects.

I saw several "personal lightsabers" of forums members like the "Outlaw" and the "Repentant." I wanted to start a thread on see other members' personal lightsabers, the unicorn(s).

I've seen Madcow's Fulcrum 3 in several youtube videos and the "crystal disengage" is awesome!

I haven't built a personal saber yet, but hopefully that will change soon in early 2011! So feel free to post pics of your personal saber should you feel accommodating enough to share  ;D

Well, I'll post a link to the Sith saber I made for myself last month. There aren't many "Glam" shots, but at the end of the posts is a video.
I have a Jedi saber in the very late planning / early construction stage, so that should be done by Christmas.

Ah, so this was a recent build. That second photo has frightened me. I don't think I hae the nerve yet to DIY a saber yet. Looks very sithy. My personal one would be sithy!

Yes, I obtained it several years ago, but I hadn't been active doing sabers again until the end of August. I gutted it, redid the body somewhat and completely redid the internals.  8) Don't let the picture scare you, it's just the internals of a good light saber. Nothing to be scared of (until you see the video). In that shot, I was checking all the wiring before cleaning it up and installing it. I happened to have a bit going on on the table at the time. If you think that's bad, you should see my garage, where I do most of the "fabricating" of small pieces I need.  :o Building a good saber isn't "easy" but it can be done - and you saw the outcome in the video. ;)

This post will serve as a placeholder until my personal saber is complete.

Thank you!
