Wow....    That's pretty negligent.....   It dosen't even appear to be a straight cut either...  They must have just gauged it open wherever, to see what it was......     >:(

it's off to the general right now.  taking a shower (I've been sweating over this for the last 2 hours) and heading to my grandpa's company.  Overnight UPS for a saturday delivery.  This story may have a happy ending yet.   :-\

Yeah, I just shipped out a Graflex and chassis with a PC in there, and I'm so paranoid something'll happen I insured it way over value.  Just in case.  I'd rather pay $11 now then lose $500 later.

I could be wrong, but I do not believe USPS insurance covers customs.  In any event, since it is international, you must take the item and packaging to the Post Office with proof of shipment (the original) and proof of insurance and they will help you file a claim.  They will tell you if customs tampering is covered or not.

Customs aka weathered saber prep service.
Well, maybe make a V2 out of it as a last resort?

That was in the back of my mind.  We will see what LDM says.  I really hope it doesn't come to that.

That is such crap, sorry to hear it Alex.

You'd think if they're so worried that it's some kind of "dangerous object" like a bomb or something, they would open it a little more carefully ya know?  Digging right into a potential explosive device like an axe murderer just seems like a terrible idea...

I've learned something today. ;D

Bought some "do not open with sharp objects" stickers just for international clients.
