If you travel to the bottom of this, where it says Future Series. You will read that if these first 2 are successful then more may come. Also Lucas states there that he may be interested in taking the franchise there. Man something may be up his sleeve. He is good at keeping secrets and also changing his mind. Prehaps a future series or movies. I myself would love to see a movie or trilogy made on the first KOTOR game. Mostly a trilogy seeing as how the story is quiet large for just a movie. As for actors and actresses we can discuss in here for fun who would be excellent to play the roles.
Bastila Shan
Jennifer Hale

dang that sounds good, i would love to see this on the big screen.
And i think Kate Beckinsale would do great as Bastila, i havent seen Jennifer Hale tho.
Who do you think would make a good Carth?
-
I am trying to think, many good actors that could probably fit his description. If you think there is a good actor that you think could fit the description of one of the characters tell me and I will add him/her to the list above. Also if you think an actor/actress above doesn't fit the part, then we shall form a friendly debate and come to a conclusion.

I think the best way to deal with the EU, pre trilogies or post, is to do animated stuff. It's WAY cheaper than building sets, using CGI, etc. I loved the Clone Wars series and I think it would be incredibly possible and easy to make a KOTOR animated series. In that way, you can get amazing voice talent to cover people, even famous people. Look at all the Pixar flicks! I would love to see a post OT series like NJO or the events of Luke's first students in academy. Like I said above, that way we can get people who sound like Harrison Ford or Carrie Fisher to lend their voice talent. I think the only one who would do it is Mark Hamil: he's very down to Earth, it seems.
If I know anything about GL, it's that he will do whatever he can to keep this franchise going, even when he's dead and long gone
-
Ya I wouldn't mind a CGI or Cartoon Animated series or movie of KOTOR. Although I would like it better if it were real-life. Just because you play the game and so its basically already CGI. It would be like making the new Halo movie in CGI, which is silly because you already play it in CGI. haha

I would love to see Kate Beckinsale as Bastila, but Colin Farrell as malak?
To quote a scene in family guy "Colin Farrell I was talking to my wife the other day and she said she doesn't think you are a very good actor and I agreed with her. Now why Colin, why would we both say that?"
I would be more scared of Urkel.
Seriously if it was made like Firefly it would be fantastic, you could even use Ron Glass as Jolee and Adam Baldwin as Malak (they were in Firefly)
And most importantly me as Revan!!!
-
Well I am sure they could make Colin work. But I am sure you are right.
-
Nope. Colin Farrell ruins everything. Except "Miami Vice". I think they should find a lesser know actor, like Lucas did in the OT. And I'm all for Jennifer Hale playing Bastila, since she voiced her in KOTOR.
Plus theres this from Wikipedia: "Not only does she perform the voice of Bastila Shan in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and its sequel, Sith Lords, but her character's facial features are based upon her own."
Nuff' said. ;)
-
HA Quinlon Vos survived!!! anyway....this will be awesome no matter what. im looking forward to it!
-
Besides, Malak is massive, Farrell is not.
Go to Wikipedia and look up Adam Baldwin (not one of the Baldwin brothers thankfully)
Shave his head and put a metal jaw on him and you have Malak
-
everytime i look at the word "metal jaw" i laugh, lol
-
Or they could get Jaws from James Bond to play Malak. I think his name was Eric Kiel or similar?
-
Ya most of the voices for the characters, the characters themselves look like the actors. I put most of the people who did the voices up there.
-
Yeah, I think Jennifer Hale may be a little more ..... well rounded than Bastilla looks like in the game but her face is similar. Kate Beckinsale for sure, so when I play Revan I get to well you know
-
hahaha You crack me up DP. Ya I just got to the part in my 4th KOTOR 1 game where you have a talk with bastila, even though I am going lightside, he gave in to his emotions.
-
Jennifer Hale voiced Bastila. Jennifer Hale looks and sounds like Bastila. Heck, she IS Bastila!
-

I let HER give in to HER emothions and kiss ME! I was Lightside too! 8)

You don't get a dark side shift from that though do you? I can't remember

I think she's a bit wider than the animated one is ;)
-
I dont think you get a dark side shift, it is jsut that if you are trying to be lightside, you should be above things. Just saying. But I WANT A KOTOR MOVIE/TRILOGY/SERIES! ANYTHING! Anything based on the first KOTOR.
-
.. yes... give me ANYTHING based on Kotor1!!
-
colin farrel is 5 foot 7, hes too short to play malak or any villan or hero for that matter, hes better in stuff like phone booth where hes an every day kind of character, i do think hes a good actor though, canderous ordo is ron pearlman, i mean come on even the look of him in the game reminded me of ron pearlman,
-
i think the guy that played the villan in manhunter would be a great malak, hes really tall perfect face, hes the one
-
Possible Malaks (way out of TV price range!):
Brad Pitt
Heath Ledger
Josh Hartnet
Edward Norton
My vote for Carth: Ben Browder from Farscape. He'd eat that role for breakfast.
-
Adam Baldwin or Jason Statham for Malak
Michael Ironside for Canderous
-
Jason Statham would be good, because for Malak you need a big guy, and Jason isnt too far off, maybe just bulk up a bit. Plus hes got the voice for it.
-
Plus he has the on screen power to pull it off, just watch the transporter
-
Jason I think would make a good malak, the voice sounds like malak. many possibilities.
-
man where have I been ,this sounds promising
-
Yes lets hope the movies or a series are made of this. Also I haven't updated the list since I haven't posted in this in a while. Anyone who has access feel free to edit it at will.
-
will do lol
