1s & Step-Up; Power consumption
« on: June 28, 2016, 10:00:46 PM »
Hi!

Since the space in my hilt is limited I'm considering going with only one battery. I don't want to loose regulated audio so I'm thinking about using a boost converter.
How many amps does the CF with 1 1A-Led and with a 2w speaker (TCSS' 20mm) need @6V?
would it be even possible to drive 2 LEDs (Vf 2,9V) in series or is the voltage drop of the driver too high?
The other LED(s) I could power with a CEX (and the FOC with a PEX) since those should work fine with 1 battery.

Greetings,
rumlyne

though it's possible, you'll have a very bad power ratio and possible noise due to the boost converter

Well... that doesn't sound very compelling.
I'll just have to somehow cram another battery in there then.

Thank you for your fast reply!
