Hey,
So here it is the (no longer nameless) saber I am building. now called "Horizon"
This is the middle of production, I saw people do logs and so I thought I might start one.
This is the offspring of my first prototype I made to understand the basics.
It is also the first one I post on the forum, so interested to see the feedback.
Think I might redo the etching since it got between the resistant a bit.
The metal is some aluminium but the main body is steel.
This is still very early in production so yes I know it looks a bit bland.
I am still new to saber building and any ideas would be great!
So here it is
2nd UPDATE
Now a week later I have finished sanding and etching and most hard metal working beside drilling and making some small windows. I now have the leather I want to use for the handle.
I have also redone the shroud, it is looking much better.
The weather has gone perfectly with ware and eroding is slightly visible below the sanding and polish on the shroud and pommel.
now that the basics is done, time for the hardest part, detailing and simply making it look nice.
The blade for it I already have but I need to spend some time on the diffusion.
ALSO! I tested out the leds I wanted to use today.... I could not see for 5 seconds..... they work.
Here are the pics peeps!!!!
The hilt and pipes acting as a handle at the moment will be further filed and sanded.
Okay,
third and (second final) update.
This is what the final hilt design came out to be.
This is just my personal light saber.
Next one going to be more regular, going for a manipulated Obione saber, more likable to the many.
Anyone know the diameter I should leave the inside if I am going to sell it? I don't want to put electronics in it.
Final update going to have the blade and some nicer screws.
Thanks and any comments are welcome!!!!
