CFX Bar Graph Check
« on: August 07, 2020, 03:52:51 PM »

I'm wondering if I'm doing anything wrong with the bar graph, my soldering isn't perfect, but I think it's okay. I have done some bar graphs on CFX in the past by bridging the pads on the opposing side of the SMD LED'S and it works great. Greens and Blues with no resistor, but these are reds and yellows and I'm using 0603 resisitors from TCSS on the other side and It's not working, what am I doing wrong?

At you sure you have the LED (+) and (-) on the right sides?

I find your arguments vague and unconvincing.

Yes positive goes towards the center of the board negative out. It obviously has to do with the resistors I%u2019m using I just don%u2019t understand why?

I’d make sure everything is making proper contact with the small square pads, Some of those solder connections look very suspect.

are those 330 ohm ? That would lead to about 4.5 mA which should work (assuming a usual 1.9V ish Vf for warm colors). I would check the wiring and polarity of the LED (which is usually indicated under the SMD led)

The LED are all facing the correct way. I managed to bridge the resistors side and have had a bar graph many times before. I’ve just never used those SMD resistors.  I’ve never known a resistor to have polarity. Maybe I have bridged area and I just don’t  see it. Thanks!

resistors don't have polarity (never wrote that they have)
