Iris - A padawan saber
« on: June 22, 2018, 06:24:18 PM »

I spent a few hours on Father's day finishing this build for my little padawan. At just under 9.5 inches, this is the smallest hilt I have ever built. Taking it for a test spin, I realized it would make a good one-hander for an adult, but it was of course specifically designed with a child's stature in mind.

Stats:
TCSS MHS-based Hilt
9½ inches
Protowerkstatt ProtoDuel RGB sound board (with stock fonts)
Tri-Cree RGB LED
12mm AV switch
Internal 2.1mm recharge port
18650 3.7V 2600mAh Li-Ion Battery
PVC/Polyurethane homemade chassis
20mm Speaker

I deeply recessed the switch to avoid accidental pressing by an inexperienced user. I can operate it OK, but it is of course intended for little hands.

What a coincidence.  I was just looking to buy another DIYino Stardust V3 today and saw this board.  What a nice simple setup for the money.  Thanks for the demo.

Sweet little saber too.
