Help?? Want to get rid of my Dooku Force FX
« on: August 16, 2017, 12:16:23 PM »
Hi

I joined this forum because I don't know where else to go for an informed word on this.

I'm a college student who was gifted a Count Dooku Force FX (Hasbro) several years ago for Christmas. I played with it once and didn't touch it. Now, I'm short on money and want to sell it and found that there are ones on ebay going for huge amounts, way more than what it was bought for.

How would I safely and fairly sell this collectible? I don't want to keep it on me, and I'm willing to lowball the price if it will make a collector out there happy.

It has the original box, the tape has been cut to be opened, the saber is pretty much untouched (the blade part, plus the battery, plus the screw on cap). The only thing missing is one of the clear plastic bits from the stand (which I might be able to find if I scrounge around in my room hard enough).

Your best bet would to list it on ebay and let the market/bidders determine the value.  This forum has rules that govern when a member can sell,  and right now,  you don't meet those qualifications.

There are listings right now that go from 850 to almost 2k, with all of them being set prices. Are those reasonable prices or do you think that they're just listing those for way too high?

Sold listings put it at 650-900 used.
count dooku fx | eBay

For a fun ride, post it as an Auction with a starting price of 200.00 and run it for 10 days. :afro:

you could try posting it here:

Props: Classifieds, eBay & Group Orders

this is where the buyers are, for that kind of collectible ;)

What Jango said.

Just go to an ebay Dooku FX listing that you like and click the "Have one to sell? Sell Now" link under the pictures. It will automatically set up some of the fields for you. If you go for an auction versus BIN have it end on a Saturday or Sunday late afternoon to evening (you want to pick a time for the most buyers to be available to bid).

p.s. For shipping make sure you add signature in addition to the insurance.
