Question Re: Parks Graflex Replicas
« on: January 18, 2014, 07:40:55 PM »
Do the Parks replica graflexes (graflices? grafli?) include all the pictured hilt work, or are they straight-up graflex replicas? The description here claims it's a working flashgun for a camera, but it shows an ANH conversion in the pictures.

They come like the picture (at least they did last time I ordered one). I asked Jeff to just send it to me in the raw state with the parts in a bag and he did. Turning it in to a static ANH doesn't take much work so he likely does them as they are ordered

Excellent; thanks! Good to know he seems willing to send the hilt conversion parts separately.

And they disassemble exactly like vintage ones?

Yep, they're replicas. Just like a vintage except cleaner for the most part. The bunny ears should also have a screw instead of a rivet IIRC

Have a question about the $150 replicas Parks sells on his website. It says:

"The Graflex Flash is an artistic masterpiece that is non-working. It does not include a blade and is not designed to be modified."

Is it able to be modified the same way a original Graflex would to make a working saber? Thanks in advance.
