Spectral Custom's DL-44 blaster
« on: September 19, 2009, 10:31:21 PM »
It is powered by 2AAA batteries. The clip holds them, and is removable. Just pull it out and the quick disconnect comes undone. Nice and easy. There is a little 5mm LED in the flash hider. I JB-Welded the barrel together to hide the seam. Also, the barrel liked to fall off with the added weight of the hider. I will eventually weather the hider, but overall I will keep the blaster in more 'pristine' condition.

What was the base Mauser?  The airsoft one?  Metal?  Somethign else?  Between me and a good friend we have a variety of them from solid metal, to the airsoft, to some still working pistols.  Just a detail I am curious on.

I do like the side mount scope.  Not just another Han Solo gun.

Nice work man.

Why not install a 200mW green Laser from Dealextreme, for around $60 or a 150mW for around $40?
It will be sensational.
Put in a CF board and I'll buy it from you. ;D

The base mouser was the airsoft one.

Matth, I don't want to blind people, lol. Also, I like the look of a LED flash versus the tiny dot a laser pointer makes.

Yeh but I have this laser and you not only see the dot, but you really see the beam going 6000ft into the sky.
But your right about the blinding part.
This laser are no toy's.

After catching EPVI I see my memory of the Solo Blaster was inperfect.  That looks just like the EP VI one.  I will have to see in EP IV if it's a straight top mounted sight.

In any case, great job!

It looks like my Luke ESB.  That had a side mounted scope.  Check out partsofsw.com for reference pics.  ;)

Correct, it's a Luke ESB one. Luke, I eventually hope to make a blaster core version of this one, but this baby is sealed shut for good
