So I've been learning a few spin techniques with my sabers, but I've had a couple of minor issues.

Issue number one: my fingers are a little short in proportion to my hand (it's genetic) so I can't always have as sure a grip on the saber as I'd like to.

Issue number two: when handling the saber, my palms tend to get a little sweaty, and usually the hilt gets kind of crudded up from being handled a lot (dead skin I assume) and can be tough to clean afterwards.

So I was thinking about perhaps using gloves to handle the saber, sort of like the black leather glove over Luke's mechanical hand in ROTJ. Has anyone else tried this? Would this maybe give me better grip and keep the hilt clean? What sort of gloves would be best? Or is this a bad idea for some reason?

yeah i recomend gloves and for cleaning use a microfiber cloth it works real well on most surfaces

I use custom fitted gloves similar to Anakin Skywalkers in Episode 3. I need them four a few reasons. One, slippery hands. Two, They help attatch my armor (I have replica orbalisk armor). Three, they give a better grip on the saber.

2010...I certainly hope it's better than 2009 was! ::)
10/10/10~Well, so far with my Father's passing away, I'd say that this year was actually worse than 2009, even the fact that I now have a full time job (For now) isn't anywhere near enough to make up for that...so...maybe 2011 will be better? I'm not holding my breath... ::)
