A Question

 :D

Now I've been thinking about this for the past five years and I believe next year I'm going to adopt a retired  grayhound. Now I've always loved those kind of dogs and I was wondering if there are any vets here that can tell me on the kind of care these dogs need so I can take good care of it right? :)

I'm a cat person but, if I had a dog IT would be a retired Greyhound. ^-^

I always loved them and the way moved.

Yes I used to go too many of the races when I was a kid 35-40 some years ago. My father knew many trainers. He has long pasted and I have lost all those contacts with him.

I think I would be a great idea. Do some searches on the Google but first hand info is always
better. ^-^.

Good luck and MTFBWY

even 'retired' greyhounds need plenty of exercise. ;)  you'll need to take up jogging.

I had a friend that would adopt retired greyhounds. They're beautiful dogs. As was stated, they still need lots of exercise, and many of them develop health problems later in life because of their background. Many pure bred dogs develop health problems because of inbreeding. Mutts tend to live a lot longer. Get him checked out real well before you commit.
