SOLVED - Issue with CC Accent LED in Prizm v5.1
« on: February 16, 2018, 05:01:10 PM »
Hey Everyone,
So I have a Prizm v5.1 that I'm utilizing the accent LEDs for a CC in my goth 3D Master chassis for a TGS graflex.  The accent LED works fine in idle mode and blinks like the default setting has it in my config file but when I activate the saber the accent LED doesn't go on.  The Accent LED is on accent pad 1.  It's running an 3.7v 18650.  Everything else with the setup is working appropriately, it's just the accent LED.  Hoping someone can help point me in the right direction.  I have all the banks with the same leds file so I figure it has to be something I'm missing in one of these files.  I have the first pad turned on with "1" and the loop setting of 65535 so I'm not sure where I'm messing up.  Please let me know if you see something.  Thanks so much in advance!

Here is my override file:

I’d check to make sure there wasn’t an override file for your accent LEDs. Also,  if you are only using accent LED1, I would remove all of the other lines after s00 and d00.

I find your arguments vague and unconvincing.

Know all the lines can stay however you have multiple looping instruction with the delay of 65535.
I would replace the delay of stage  0 by 50 and place your loop after.

Also just to be sure you didnt put the led sequence in the override, like k2so said, cause that wont work. Sequence must be in leds.txt.

Thanks Erv and I tried what both you and @K-2SO said and still not lighting up upon ignition but still blinks on idle.  With the accent LED blinking, I know it's working just not sure why it won't light up with the saber ignited.  What else could I be missing?  I even tried re-formatting the SD Card.  Here is the config file for the bank.  Is there anything I'm missing either in this file or the Override file from above?  Thanks again.

Other than making the switches to your led.txt file, I don’t see anything that sticks out.

Make d00=50 and d01=65535

The award for idiot of the week goes to me!  I had the neg of the accent LED going to the accent pad and the positive going to the main +.  I didn't think anything was wrong at first because the accent LED would light up on idle.  But after both @erv and @K-2SO went over the files and only needed me to change the initial sequence and that still didn't fix the problem, I had to go back to my wiring.  Once I switched the positive to the accent pad and the neg to the ground, all is good!! Thanks fellas for the help, I really appreciate it!

I'm glad you found this, I would never have been able to find this. All logic and happy to hear it's working now, and congrats for the personal debug.

Note to myself always go back to the basics when everything goes wrong that doesn’t make sense. I actually learn a lot by listening to others problems with the boards.  Thanks for posting!
