Title: A MHS I put together last night and today...
Post by: CHEWBACCA on September 05, 2009, 04:59:49 PM
I like it a lot for some reason...its simple but clean (like most of my sabers).  I think it needs one of those boxes Tim sells along with one of the anitvandel switches but thats only if I keep it.

It has a Luke ANH sound board, cree xre blue, two blinkies (red and green...I wanted the green to be solid but all of my solid 3mm greens were yellow looking when lit) 7.4 li battery pack (I made with a PCB) and 6V regulator. Originally I made it just the 3.7 battery pack in parallel but the current was too low on that voltage and I wasn't happy with the blade brightness.

Like most of my hilts so far I sanded and polished it to a high luster then I powder coated the main section and blade holder with flat black and the choke with translucent copper. I am happy color of the copper but I had a couple of little pieces of black specks (probably a little left over from where I did the other part) so am a little upset about that and will probably have to redo it.

anyway here are just a couple of pics. I may take a video later or tomorrow.

Man, this is just my kind of saber! Love the Cree XRE Blue and I'm a huge fan of the highly polished chrome look ;D. Great job MH! Looks great! How does it handle for spins and sabermoves?

Well not sure.  i am not really that good at that kind of stuff but it seems pretty easy with my hand size and holding it with the choke.
