Ok guys,

I'm considering options for future run ideas and I know that this particular saber scored pretty high on a particular voting poll a while back, so I want your opinion on it here.

I happen to have a set of prints (and permission to use them) of this saber, that is considered to be the most accurate depiction of it to date.

Here is a depiction of that saber made using the same plans.  THIS PICTURE IS NOT MY SABER, this is just a real life example of what it may look like.  I will be doing some tweaking to the design, and machining of it, but this gives you a base idea of the final product.

I am sticking to certain boards for few reasons.

To allow for multiple boards without needing TOO many internal chassis solutions.
Colour mixing options (which for this saber I believe is a must).
Number of available font banks to keep the JKDFIIâ„¢ in line with the original multiplayer game style experience.

Please place your vote, and comment below in the following manner so that I can appropriately gauge interest in this saber and get my numbers crunched, in order to bring it to you guys as QUICKLY as I can possibly manage.  I'm in a hurry for this one, I've already waited 18 years for this saber, and I don't want to wait a day longer than I have to.

If you plan to buy more than one hilt with different options, please indicate that in your post.  The number of responses and the choices you guys indicate may very well determine whether or not I do any empties of this saber.

I will start the list at a base of 25 and we'll go from there depending on interest.




Something interesting to note:


Even though I have been trying to get this saber made since the first day I saw it back in 1997, and I have spent countless hours pouring over reference pics and screenshots of it, recently I discovered a small detail that is missing from every single version of this saber that I have EVER seen made, or rendered, so I think it is safe to say that this WILL be the most screen accurate version ever created.

I would try to keep the price as low as possible, but until further research is done into how much it would cost me to fabricate these hilts, I can't give you pricing just yet. No reason that I can see for these to have to be $1000 sabers though.

The timing for this run will be ASAP.  The plan is to have these machined WELL before the 6 month mark, and all requested installs done shortly thereafter.  This will NOT be a long drawn out run.  I want this to go quickly and smoothly, and for people to have sabers in their hands as fast as possible.
