Hello To everybody downthere. I'm going to make a review of my 5 forceFX light Sabers.
Forgive me for my english speaking, I'm from Paris...
Well, first, a little of history. I've discovered Force FX lightsabers only few months ago(what a shame !). Like those proders are expensive, I tryed to not "test" them, trying to not be tempted buying them!;)
Well, what must arrived, arrived...I test the Vader ESB and the Anakin ROTS, and I became totaly crazy fan addict about them instantly! Well, like I have the great chance to be a comic book penciler in france, I can make some exchanges with my retailer. Lightsaber/Original pages of mine. So , it's "less expensive", even It's some pages that I will not sell later. ha ha ha
So, I have the Anakin ROTS( I bought this one), Vader ESB, Luke Rotj( 2003, and 2005), and mace AOTC.
Let’s begin with
The Anakin Rots :
This one is the one I used to prefer, untill I'd practice more and more otfen the Luke Rotj(but it's the second one right now, very close behind). The hilt is very well designed and quite similar to the original one. The bigger problem with this hilt is when you make some spins with it. You can easily shut down the saber, or cut your fingers. Plus, it is a heavy one. You’ll get some muscles practicing with it !;)Otherwise, the sounds are really cools ; not too louds, just like I like it !;)
The Vader Esb :
This is the one I love the most about the sounds ! Oh my, it’s just thrilling to ear those sounds, really, hum, « dark ». The hilt is really nice exept for the « plastic top ». I’d rather prefer a metallic one. It looks like a toy like that.
The Luke Rotj :
The « must have » for spinning training ! Those sabers are really « lights » ! , and the design of the hilt allow you to do almost what you want, without shut down the sabers, or having some parts « in the fingers ». I thinks that this saber seems to be the more « sensitive » when you move it. I mean producting the sounds. You don’t have to make some big swings to make the sounds. So, it’s the most realistic one on that point.
2005 version has of course a nicest blade than the older version. Even if I like the « sweet » green of the old blade. But, it’s definetly better with ignition/retractation effect !;) The sounds are a bit loudder on the earlier version too ;) The move sensitivity is better on the 2003 than the 2005. Well in fact, I guess that I have a little preference for the 2003 version exept for the lack of the ignition/retractation effect of course;)
The Mace Aotc :
Well, well weel. Hum. Il like the color of the blade, but, the hilt is really too « flashy » for me.
It is heavy too, and this saber needs some big movements to make the sounds. So, exept if you want to collect all the sabers( like me) you should prefer every other sabers than this one. This is my humble point of view of course !;)
Well, it was pretty hard for me to make those review in english, and I hope that it is understandable !;)
