Nano Biscotte No Audio
« on: May 27, 2018, 03:27:33 PM »
So, I just got done wiring up a Nano Biscotte V4 and everything works fine except there is no audio? I checked my wiring for shorts and everything comes up fine. I've never had a problem in the past with these so I'm puzzled as to what it may be? Here's a picture

How do I go about getting this fixed? Thank you!

I see a spot on the amp from it being blown. Usually this happens from a reverse voltage or over voltage (7.4v pack instead of 3.7v). However it can happen other was as well

I will send you a reply to your pm and see about getting you fixed up.

Thanks Chewbacca! Reverse voltage you say? I'm not sure how that could have happened? I'm pretty sure I wired everything correctly.

the amp is bubbled indeed (fried). Reverse polarity and over voltage (especially with automatic cell detection chargers) are classic. Also, your speaker wires look burn a bit and exposed, so a short could come from this.

Darn, how could that have happened? I don't see where I messed up in my wiring? And yes the speaker wires aren't PTFE because they came soldered to the speaker like that already. The casing peeled back because of the soldering iron being too close. I tried a different speaker and still no go.

the speaker wires have burnt insulation (iron tip), not shrinking / retraction due to heat

I tried a different speaker and still no go.

as stated, your amplified is fried, so another speaker won't make it work again

Yeah, I meant to say I tried the other speaker before I posted this thread just to be sure. Chewbacca has contacted me for repairs and I'll be sending this out to him asap! Thanks everyone!
