The Beginning
About 8 months ago I stumbled upon the Force FX Lightsaber. I immedietley knew I wanted one. I waited patientley knowing that there were some new, better sabers coming out, how I would regret it :(.
After the Anakin ROTS had been released I started hunting only to stumble upon a forum where many people were commenting about the faults that the Anakin had, I didn't belive it at first but more and more comments were being made about it, so in the end I decided on the Luke ESB.
Then I found out we were Relocating, My mind was totaly taken of Star Wars for two fateful months where the numbers of the Luke ESB had dwindled until they were avalible almost exclusivley on Ebay.
When we had finaly settled in I discovered the terrible news, I hunted the net for 2 months but could not find anything :'(.
Then came November.
The MR site had the Luke ESB in stock :D, I showed my Mom the page, but she seemed unimpressed, I tried to persuade her as much as I could, as I counted down the weeks to Christmas.
Then came the 24th.
On the morning of the 25th I got up willing everyone to get out of bed. When everyone had finally got up Mom gave me the 'your good to go' signal and I raced down the stairs and there it was, A long package. I ripped it open, cut the tape, cut the sleeve of plastic that the saber was in popped 6 AA batteries in and ignited it.
It was PERFECT ;D.
Then, after I had opened my other presents my Dad pulled something out from behind the tree and shouted SUPRISE! what was it....a Vader ESB FX saber(review coming soon).
My ratings for the Luke are as follows ;).
Hilt: 9.9
PRO'S:Great quality,looks exactley like the prop.
CON'S:A little big.
Sound:8.0
PRO'S: Clash sounds right on, good activation/deactivation.
CON'S Quality isn't great, could be louder
Blade:9.25
PRO'S: Very bright 8)
CON'S: Dark spot
Overall:9.5
PRO'S: Everything
CON':Small Sound issue
What has this Saber done for me: Make me want to get another one ;).

Reminds me almost exactly of how I got my Anakin ROTS ;D

The Luke ESB is a great saber I agree louder sound say as loud as the Anakin or ROTJ Luke might be the best one yet.

What better gift could you have gotten? :D Great review. I enjoyed the story. I love the Luke ESB and have found the only issues to be it's multiple dark spots and low sound.

Aayla change your batteries for the Luke ESB I use Energizer Max and no blotches except the middle dark spot, but yeah the sound is low

I have Duracell Ultras for digital cameras in all my sabers, so I'm not so sure it's the batteries. It's worth a try, though, so I'll probably give it a go. :)

A better x-mas would have included all the other sabers haha. Good review, put to rest some issues in my head about it. I use Energizers in my Luke ROTJ, and it's been going strong for the second day now, probably been on for a total of 3 hours.
