Hi Suave Gav

What’s your install look like? Are you using a hardwired battery or a battery holder? Can you give us some photo’s? It definitely sounds like a short somewhere.

possible things :
- SD card not seated well and moving / loosing contact with the holder
- kill pin of the recharge port moving and cutting power

Thanks Erv, i have repalced the recharge port and when the board is seperate from the chasis still cuts off when tapped hard so im gonna say its ok, is there anything that can be done to improve conections of the sd card ?

I would bypass the recharge port 1) then tape the SD card 2) if 1) doesn't work
Your sd card holder could be damaged as well. When it cuts, does it freeze like 1 second (with light still there) then reboot ?

Hmmm, defiantly sounds like a short. There could potentially be a short in the assembled battery (like between the cells and the pcb) do you have another battery you could try?

*edit* sorry just re-read your post. To be clear, it only reboots when the board Itself is knocked? Not when you wiggle or knock any other part of the guts?

the battery does not have a protection board so there is no loose conection there,
the only other battery i have goes in a battery holder, stripped out the wiring and wired in a batetry holder to test my only other 18650, as long as i dont bump it toards the spring it seems to stay on, i cant see any bamage to the outside of the battery or the conections, just ordered a battery with leads attached to see if i have a dodgy battery after all.

I had the same problem just the other day while trying to install a new font (may make a new post about this due to some other issues I need resolved).

I experienced the same, that on Clash (sometimes after a few clashes) the board would freeze and give off a high pitch noise via the speaker and then restart.

In config txt check if your resume is set to 0 or 1. Default should be 0 (off?). In my case, "resume=1" would cause this issue and changing it back to 0 fixed my problems as far as I know
