Hi friends!!

The acrylic one you will be able to uses it depending on the type of grip that you use between pipes and disc. It acrylic is to very fragile material and if you do great pressure on it will break. :-\
If you think to uses the lightsabers for duel the impacts they can crush the acrylic one and break his chassis. :-[

You can obtain means to fit discs and pipes so that it does not break  ::) and then to leave your chassis of exhibition or to use some more resistant material as, polycarbonate, high place impacto/ABS,  assuring to him resistance of the chassis in duels.

polycarbonate is like glass similar to acrylic.
i know this because i tried to male a studio scale falcon with poly because it was the only sheet that i found large enough.

i dont think if anyone makes the effort of building an chasis with crystal chamber that they will duel with a nice piece like that,in my eyes it for displaying only a nice saber like that.

gaby how did you cut out the discs for youre build? lazer or with a kind of drill bit?
did you do the wirering yet on youre chasis?

on my end here i have made a first scetch of a chasis, but still need to do a lot of research on the subject....

Hi Darth!! ;D
Acrylic vs Polycarbonate ... you use what you want, mine is alone an appreciation for my poor experience.  :-\
The first chassis that I made this realized with polycarbonate and acrylic, and now I am realizing one of poly, acrilic and ABS.
I do not know the use that is going to give to his chassis ..  for this motive I recommended you a resistant material.
for example, the master yoda uses material more resistant than the acrylic and poly..he uses ABS.

the cut of the discs I do with laser others with my hands...
I have realized the wiring of my chassis, waiting a CF!!! ::)

does there exist a schematic for wireing the 2 kinds of soundcards?

And gaby, did you reinforce the 4mm tubing with a 3mm tubing inserted into the 4mm one?
sorry to overload you with al these questions in youre build thread :-\

Hi darth ;D

His questions are welcome!!  ;)
Schematic wireing CF https://www.plecterlabs.com/Media/Doc/CrystalFocusSaberCoreV4.0-GB.pdf
I think that in http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/UltraSound-20-P318.aspx

The pipes: from speaker holder until the end of the crystal chamber I used pipes of 4mm of diameter.
In the section of batteries holder I inserted pipes of 4.5mm of internal diameter and 6 mm of external diameter,I did this so that the pipes of 6 mm do of top between the two discs that define the battery holder.
In crystals chamber you can see that continue the pipes of 4mm chromed.

I know I'm post-reviving, but....
Gaby, I have to thank you and all the other informative members who contributed in this topic. It really is helping me with my first steps in creating my crystal chamber. Thanks so much FX!
