PneumoniaProne's luke ROTJ FINISHED
« on: October 09, 2009, 12:15:06 PM »
I just finished this up.

All MHS and replica clamp.
Choke powder coated Copper pre weathering.
Lux V
2x 14500 Li-Ion with recessed in hilt chargeport.
US 2.5
crystal pommel inspired by LDM with 2x5mm leds
Cut down tactile switch under clamp lever
I took a lot of liberties and this is obviously not screen accurate or anything but I really like how it turned out.

WIP Still on my paint table.

thanks guys.

Weathering is fantastic! Love the copper choke!
I had TCSS use the copper jacket PC on that piece and it looked ok but while weathering I gave it a little extra sanding and it has turned into a pretty nice dull copper. I am actually really happy with the texture of the choke now.

The weather looks great! Nice saber. I was thinking...(yes it hurts)....these may work for pommels as well.
Check it out, see what you think. It can be vented for sound easily. http://www.fx-sabers.com/forum/index.php?topic=19925.0
Just a thought. Still, this is going to be a nice saber!
God bless!

Looking good my friend....looking REAL good...and y'all know how I feel about the V2... ;)

Looks great (as a matter of fact it is an excellent effort) ;D.  BUT, You need a cone knob.  Jango sells them and so do I.  Just PM one of us if you want one.

I was JUST thinking that until GG mentioned it... ;)
