PRIZM 5.1 Trident
« on: November 04, 2017, 11:10:13 AM »
Hey there,

I seem to miss something regarding the Prizm config files for a trident setup.
Can someone share me his config file of a working trident to compare?
Main blade TriCree with FoC R/R/W and side blades are single crees.

Thanks

one would expect that you post *your* files and pictures of your wiring and details of what "doesn't work". As comparing nothing with nothing leads to nothing  :cheesy:

I'm sorry.
I can't post pictures for now since my phone camera is not working.

Delayed ignition (side blades) are wired to L1, Main blade is wired to L2 and FoC for main blade only is wired to L3.

Here's the config file

// PRIZMv5 config
drive=1023,1023,0
fdrive=1023,1023,1023
focmix=001
tridenton=1
tridentoff=1
tridentm=1000
tridentfx=0
tridentflk=0
tridentquick=0
resume=0
shmrd=80
shmrp=6
shmrr=12
shmr%=0,50
focd=150
focp=10
focr=10
foc%=0,50
qon=0
qoff=0
fade=0
flks=3
flkd=20
pulsed=0
pulsel=0
lsfadeon=1
lsfadeoff=1
lightstick=0
omnisabers=0
idlepulsing=15
idleled=0

I hope that's enough.

Thank you.

I would test with
focmix=010
tridentm=0001

also your tridenton and off (which define the staggered ignition) are set so low that you won't see any delay.

Thank you, the delay is now working properly. However the main blade still doesn't turn on. Any ideas on that?
I checked the LED and wiring, that's all fine.

Expected as you don't have any drive applied to this channel (check also your color profiles in override if you are using color profiles)

I'm going to use this thread because I'm having the same issue. I've tweaked the config files many times and the main blade turns on normally. But no matter what I do the quillons are only working as if they are FoC. All I want is a normal main blade with FoC and flickering side blades (no FoC) All positives are connected together and I have the negatives connected to the board as such: Main to L1, Sides to L2 and FoC to R3. Here's my config file. Perhaps that will have a clue. Thanks!

I think that it will work if you just change
tridentm=0010

(trident mix like foc mix are bit field and were originally stored this way in the configuration file, as a matter of fact first channel is the *right-most* digit)

I tried that and no go. Main blade lights up, FOC die works properly but the cross guard blades only light when FOC is triggered. This keeps happening no matter what I try. I even reformatted the SD card to be safe. I triple checked my wiring and no problems there. Also, whenever a FOC effect is triggered my sound is getting distorted.

do you still have color profiles ? I don't see them listed above but if you have some, they of course take over your standard blade color definition in the config.txt above (which seem correct for both drive and fdrive)

regarding the sound, that's your battery or incorrect resistors on your leds (too much current or weak battery will lead to voltage ripple on your power supply, which is forwarded also to the amp)

Would you be able to help me figure out what’s wrong with mine? My side emitters won’t activate during ignition. They only flash during FOC.
