I was about to shoot a video a new blade build when I noticed this.  I ordered some last week but it doesn't look like it shipped yet.. looking forward to getting it and comparing it to my current process.  I debated getting the thick wall version so I would have room to add clear gift wrap and compare to the thin wall alone, but ultimately just got 2 thin.  Hopefully it ships soon and I can get this buttoned up before the big move!

There are also now Neopixel adapters (some are still in stock) for one inch blades, and 7/8.

I believe the adapter plug was invented by Alex Gordon of FX Sabers:

I think my blade which wraps packing foam looks a bit smoother and has less shadowing than the foam tube, but the foam tube is very much easier to install.  There is room enough to add a couple meters of clear gift wrap which does a fantastic job of smoothing it out.

I recorded a video assembling a new blade, but I haven't had time to edit it since I'm in the middle of moving.  I'll make another blade soon, so I may just re-shoot it after I've moved.
