Biggs, if you want to keep it shiny go ahead and clear coat it. Just remember after you clear coat it it will loose some of its "metalicness". I am letting mine age. I polish the lid, actualy, I sand the lid with 2400 grit sandpaper. It gives it a nice shine.

No sanding for me  ;) Mother's aluminum polish works wonders on copper too.

Still undecided over whether or not to clear coat the circuit board. Regardless, I need to wait a little on that as it's too hot here now to clear coat.
