Construction of the emitter of BK4?

Hello..

My current plan is to paint my BK4 to match the AFBB one with black "ring" on the emitter, but I've noticed that the emitter doesn't feel like all-solid piece, it feels like it's made of 2 pieces, I can feel them moving if I try..

Here's some pics taken on my not-so-good cellphone cam.







So, is there any way I could dis-assemble this part for painting?

I just went and looked at mine. It does look like two pieces on the back side, but if it is, it is press fit and wouldn't come apart easy or possibly w/o damaging it. Mine doesn't move at all. Also when you put it back together it could be loose or fit different because of paint thickness. I would just do a masterful tape job and paint it.
