MR 2005 Obi Wan Kenobi TPM Elite Edition Lightsaber

"I have a bad feeling about this."  -Obi Wan's first line in TPM
I don't have a bad feeling about this lightsaber, however.

-Polished, high-grade stainless steel construction
-Genuine crystal used in the LEDs and "purple hemisphere"
-Brass detail parts plated in genuine 18k gold
-Accurate "female knurling" on the red control knob
-Different dimensions than the Episode II version

  Until now, MR was unable to locate sufficient reference materials for the Episode I hero lightsaber.  Afte extensive research, and a bit of detective work, the MR engineers and designers were able to reconstruct all of the details to recreate this classic weapon.



Here's some comparison shots with an SP/Parks:




I knew I'd kick myself later if I didn't get one while they were still close to retail price, and am pleased that I did.  Definitely my favorite saber of all, it manages to look beautiful and deadly as a bloody cudgel at the same time.  MR really outdid themselves on this one. ;)

I'll probably get the Qui Gon in CE, but I just had to have one Elite, my favorite one.  I'm looking at it right now.  I think I'll give it a little kiss. :-*

They are both TPM models.  One is an EL model with removabe blade. ;)  No hole in the emitter is correct.

That saber is Dead Sexy!

What I like most about it is that Ewan got to pic his lightsaber and that is the one that he picked to be Obi Wan's.  Just knowing that...is too cool.

Its one of my favorite sabers...even though we all know it doesn't do well in water (see deleted scene in TPM, heehe)
