Title: Mini to micro usb

A bit off topic but any help is appreciated. Before I go cutting cables. Are the lines in a micro usb the same as a mini? wanting to switch out a connector

I believe they are the same, yes. They seem to only differ in their physical size, but I think they are electrically identical. I found this diagram:

They both seem to have the same 5 pins mapped in the same order.

Cool. Thank you. I bought a 10’ cord without looking to see what connector it had and I plowed through the packaging which probably made it a hassle to return. Figured I’d just salvage the connector from the old cord.
