Black series Luke ROTJ saber problem.

Hello all, I’m new here so if this has been addressed already I apologize.  I recently purchased a Luke BS ROTJ saber on ebay. It wasn’t working but seemed to be brand new. I simply wouldn’t cut on. After slowly taking it apart nothing that normally would cause the problem jumped out. I’ve only owned MR sabers and taken apart some of the plastic sabers for parts so hasbro s electronic are new to me. The board seems to have some heat damage but it looks more from a crappy soldering job. All the connector points seem to have been solder (maybe) the hot glued for extra hold. This makes checking the contact point difficult at best. I can post pics if it helps. Anyone have any issues with the sabes that might help? Thanks
