  • .....negotiations with a light saber...
Hey Guys,
please forgive me if this was already discussed. I am working on my 4th NB V4 install with Neopixel blade config. Everything was bench tested and works fine. The Board "wakes up" and works flawlessly via momentary switch when no Blade is attached. When the board is active, I can attach the Blade and still everything is fine. I can turn the saber on/off and have all functions as intended. No issues whatsoever.
However when the board goes into deepsleep mode, I have to remove the blade in order to activate the NB again. I have the correct resistor on the data line and have tried different sizes of capacitors on the powerlines.
I am a little stumped as this Problem never occured previously.... any idea??

Does it happen if the blade negative is directly hooked up to the main negative of the board and not to L-?

thanks for your quick reply Erv! I think you're on the right track but I have the hunch that it is the other way arround. I reviewed my build pics and I think I might have accidentally wired the momentary switch to one of the "L's". That would explain why the switch cannot "wake" the board right?
Unfortunately, I have to tear down the whole saber in order to check/fix that....

By the way, I'm having a blast with your great Products!! Awesome functionality/great quality! Prizm 5.1 install is next.

Hey Erv,
I finally got arround to taking the saber apart and it was exactly as we assumed. Rewired to the proper negative and everything is fine now. Guess I should stop soldering wires in the middle of the night (c:
Thanks again!
