Well there are other ways of driving them.  Straight RGB selectable direct drive or buckpuck... Using a controller board like Erv's or Corbin's... Lots of ways to get them to work.  Heck You might even be able to Joe Jedi board them.

That's what I was planning on using...I'll let you know how it turns out!    ;)

EDIT:  with a Lux Driver from TCSS...need to do some research first, though.

Hi Xwing,

I am interested in the BBW (double blue with white clash) but how does double Rebels compare to just a single Rebel? I have some singles. Is running 2x blues twice as bright?

Put it this way. 2 Rebels running together is twice as bright a Lux V.  ;D

Malaki,

Have you tried yours yet? I'd love to see and have a blade twice as bright as a Lux V.

Xwing,

Please put me down for this order:

Jedi Diah - 1 BBW

Thanks,

Is it possible to get a fully rich colored Purple blade while also having the ability to have it flash White on impact?

Or are you stuck with a RBB to get that rich color?  Wanted to know this from either Xwing or Tyranus, since Darth T is making my new saber.

To get a white clash it would have to be RBW. This is what RB look like.

I have not had a chance to wire up my RBB yet, but that sounds like a good project for this upcoming weekend

Well with my little gift from Our little green friend, and a Certain board going to France for a refurb... I will soon have my Graflex Underway! The BBW is going to be right at home in that one!

Jango, once again pictures can be misleading.  Can you tell me how rich that saber is in person plz.

Is it watered down like the MR Mace Windu or is it rich in color?

If I had to choose between a vibrant Purple, or a white clash, I'd rather go with the color.

If you could give me (us) an update on your RBB setup this weekend, that'd rock!

It's more vibrant purple, not deep. I am sending 1400ma through it. I will hopefully get down with the rest of the overlords by the end of the week, and be able to do some personal projects on the weekend.

BTW one of my RBB is going in a MACE.  ;D

Have any of you guys gotten your RRB leds from xwing yet? Since we're on the purple topic I was curious to see if anyone had wired theirs up. According to his post over at JSS the RRB gave off a better purple as the 2 blues on the RBB seemed to overpower the Red and lean more towards a  Royal Blue.

I know I'm going to sound like a noob  :-[ so forgive me but what is JSS?

And exactly HOW are we supposed to pay for these...I sent XWing a PM immediately after my post asking him how I should pay [I like to always pay immediately] but havent heard back from him yet...is there a particular process we should use or a Paypal addy to send money to?

I didnt see that mentioned in the first post but maybe I missed it somewhere.

On the technical side I'm wondering about heat using these and about using TCSS heatsinks and MHS choke sections.

Will the normal TCSS heatsinks that come with their bladeholders dissipate heat effectively enough?

And will the narrower area behind the heatsink of the MHS choke sections cause any overheating concerns with these?

OWK,
I was under the impression he would send a paypal request to our e-mails.  I don't think it was stated so I may just be assuming.

JSS = http://www.judgesabersmith.com/

EDIT:   or maybe we need to just send it too him...paypal is xwingband@incomsabers.com
EDIT 2: Actually, the more I read it, the more I think we ned to paypal him and in the comment section, write "Your FX name here  1 RRB" (or whatever you ordered)
