      Well here I am.       /luks-e-un/    If I remember my phonics correctly.   

Most here say lux-e-on  but do you pronounce it      /on/  or /un/  ?

I always say it lucks-E-un. Just rolls off my tongue that way. I'd have to make a conscious effort to add the "ON' to the end.

I did some searches but couldn't find an official phonetic on the word.

And yes Aluke I agree it is probably  /on/.   My point was that I pronounce it /un/  and I am willing to bet many others do to if they listen to themselves.  I find it hard to say the word quickly using /un/.  To use /on/  for me takes some thought and a bit of a pause.


What a strange topic this is.  Kills the time though as I wait for STEVE.  :D

Either in this thread or on the TCSS counterpart for it, someone posted a link to a video from the Luxeon site, and they say it  /on/
