Question about Neopixel

While going over the PRIZM 5.1 manual I came across this in regards to the control line from the board to the string "The data pin is fed by the LS pad of the board and must be driven through a 330 to
470 ohm resistor (value not critical which can easily be doubled). The resistor is
usually required next to the strip but we've tried with various length of wiring over a
standard hilt and it's not critical neither. "

Does this mean any resistor with a rating between 330-470 ohm can be used? Just trying to clarify the terminology so I know the 390ohm resistors I ordered will work.
