The Damocles Hilt

--- The Sword Hung Only By A Thread ---

Hiya friends. Been awhile since i've posted a build- so i figured i would show my new(ish) sparring hilt: Damocles. Maybe there's a few history nuts out there that know the story to the name. :)

Anyways, here are the specs and the good stuff:

Nano V4
In-hilt recharge port
momentary switch/yellow dot
MHS base parts
Custom powder-coating
Completely custom shroud, with original design etching (Rootkill/PNP method)
RRW LED
A few antique lamp parts (such as the retention screw)

The Glams:











Finally can hang it up next to my old sparring hilt.

Technically, both! I drafted all my initial designs for this one by hand till i found one i wanted then it was just a nice easy trace with some vector software. :)

Really nice, both the intricate shape of the shroud and the top notch etched design.

Your 'old sparring hilt' is non too shabby either and the two complement each other very pleasingly  :wink:

Nice work. I've done similar, but I don't have the patience for retracing all that detail!
