Understanding the Black Series Circuitry
« on: September 09, 2017, 09:41:26 PM »
Hey everybody!

Awhile ago, I built this 6W laser using the Hasbro Black Series Luke lightsaber as a modded host.

Unfortunately, I had to remove the entire stock soundboard due to limited space. However currently, I'm working on Version 2 where I plan on keeping the sound and motion sensor.

As seen in the attached picture, I could connect the laser driver to where the LED strip once was but the soundboard runs at 20ma and the laser driver requires around 2A. That would instantly fry the sound board...

I have a few ideas in mind (run the laser driver in parallel before the soundboard and use a single switch before both circuits) but the only problem is the fact that it seems that the soundboard will ONLY activate through the switch wires on the soundboard.

Sooooo... Does anyone have any ideas or understand the Black Series soundboard?

I realize this is really confusing and technical so I apologize... I have been asking around everywhere and nobody knows. If anybody understands anything with the Black Series circuit, it would be a great help!

Thanks!
