CF8 - removing color profiles and using config.txt settings shuts saber off

I have a saber with the main led being Red, DeepRed, Blue

I removed the color profiles from override.txt and removed the color parameters from the prefs.txt
in config.txt for font1 I created:

Blade was red, FoC was blue, as expected, but lockup was solid blue, no red mixed in.

There is no CeX, thus it's using pseudo color mixing.

What setting am I missing to mix the red in with the blue on lockup?

Also, it seems making the above changes causes the saber to turn off after a few seconds. At first I thought the battery died, but it's not. I restored the color profiles to the override.txt file and restored the prefs.txt color0= settings and the saber no longer turned off after a few seconds of running.

Why is the saber shutting off after a few seconds?

Also, after restoring the color profiles and the color parameters to the prefs.txt file, which only uses profiles 2 and 6, I would expect the FoC and lockup to be purpleish since it's using red and blue dies (lcolor6=0,740,400,0), unless the red and deep-red are in parallel and thus the blue is the value in the second spot and the value in the third spot is ignored. I'm waiting on the builder to let me know the wiring order of the main led.

Update (somewhat baffled)
The led seems to be wired as Red and DeepRed on channel1 and blue on channel3. Since Red and DeepRed seem to be on one channel, can I use 700 per red for a total of 1400 and be safe?

Using all the original config files (i backed up the SD card) when I made some changes to the color profiles, (since I cannot use the config.txt led, fled, lled settings as the saber turns off after a few seconds without the color profiles ) the saber shut off on me again, but only two times. See results below:

why did you remove the color from prefs ? you're not suppose to do that.
If you want to remove the color profiles, remove them from override.txt only.

if the saber shuts off, it's because you're pulling too much current from your battery.

orientation controlled lockup color works only in fullmix mode for Foc (focmix=1111)

I searched the cf8 manual and could find no mention of the color in the prefs.txt since I wasn't going to have any color profiles in override.txt it seemed like a conflict for color in prefs.txt to be referencing a nonexistent item. I'm using the profiles now to set the colors instead of the config.txt parameters.

Sounds like the Saber shut off is a wiring issue (I didn't build it). It has yet to shut off after those first few times (with color por files removed and a few times after restoring the original prefs.txt aND override.txt files.

For lockup color I was only trying to mix the red deepred (main blade color) with the blue.

color params in prefs.txt aren't used if no color profiles are found, no conflict there.

Like I said, a saber that shuts off is usually tripping the PCB of the battery.

So configurations I did with the color parameters and profiles should not have triggered the poweroff. is there a procedure of any kind to test for tripping the PCB of the battery? thanks.

you could increase the current / color settings via RICE in real time and see when it cuts off.
