The Pharaoh
« on: October 25, 2015, 03:01:52 PM »
Completed our first saber with the new Photo Blade set up, Yay and double Yay!!
Really like the effect and this is the Royal Blue set up, the blue to follow soon.

Sorry, saber is sold.

First install with the blue Imperial switches, hmm look a little dull, may be need more than 3.3v from the board, will wire them into the blade, could need 3.7v

Wow! Love at first sight. This has got to be one of the better looking sabers I've seen. Spectacular design.

I disagree about the switches.  I think they look perfect.  Not to dull, not to bright.....they don't detract at all from the overall look and lend themselves nicely to the design.

And some beautiful machine work as well.  Nicely done.

The question isn't who is going to let me;  It's who is going to stop me!

Wow, I love it!  Everything about this saber is fantastic!  It's nice seeing those new switches in action too.

Is that the maximum brightness of the new switches?  For better or worse, they do seem a fair bit dimmer than the standard ones.  They seemed brighter in the original posting.  I'm just curious if the brightness was a choice (resistored) or if that is the maximum luminosity.

Yes, agree, though the switch photo was in near darkness compared to saber shots.
Red and green glow well at 3.3 a little brighter on 3.7, blue is a bit duller with a little gain at 3.7.
