I've been plagued with supplier issues for more blade stock. I've ordered blades stock from three different wholesalers, and have had to return it all three times for being unacceptable for lightsaber blades. It seems the manufacturer that was producing this size of clear polycarbonate has changed the resin mixture for these tubes. And it results in a more flexible & clearer tube, but one that is not stiff enough to be a lightsaber blade. I'm looking for alternative suppliers, but if I have to get these custom made, it could be double or triple the cost (for the tubing) and I'd need to commit to a batch of 800 - 1000 tubes. That is quite the financial commitment, and I don't know if there is enough demand for that many of these 7/8"OD thick walled blades. Nor am I sure if I can afford to bankroll something that may take 5+ years to payback. If these were to cost $50/blade, I think at that price most people would just try to get by with 1" thick walled blades.
I might have some leftover blade stock for 28" and 30" blades, but these will primarily appeal to padawans, saber staffs, and users of single handed Vader's Vault hilts. But that may be it for the 7/8" OD thick walled blades. I will keep you posted on how this unfolds...
