huh. The pommel looks VERY similar to the Darth Malgus pommel.  :-\

Good luck with the run.  :D

Which means.......guess which saber might be a subsequent run? ;) :)) I was wondering who the first person to notice would be :))

It is indeed the EXACT same pommel. The only way I can explain it is that the artwork was shared since BLUR studios did all the SWTOR and TFU trailers. You'll notice that in SWTOR and TFU that a lot of the emitters/pommels are shared. Which, really isn't such a surprise considering how much of the OT and PT sabers shared design cues.

very interesting readings and beautiful hilt ! ah, real leather, good stuff. I enjoyed so much working on my leather accessories when crafting my jedi costume, such a noble material.

Things slow down, the ball seems a lot bigger and you feel like you have more time. Everything computes - you have options, but you always take the right one.

Ahhhh this is one of my dream hilts. I cannot wait to see how the two trim levels look. Awesome work on the pommel, btw. Not only is the actual design well thought out but clearly you guys put in a boatload of research into just that aspect alone  :o

I always admire your commitment to accuracy and detail and yeah Caine is right this time you've really raised the bar very high indeed...BRAVO!

I know there are many shared design cues between the PT and OT sabers yet those designs are only a few decades removed from one another so that is not surprising really...but Malgus and SK share the exact same pommel 3000 years apart??? Wow! That seems...odd. Fascinating, but odd. Unless perhaps technology in the SW galaxy doesn't evolve much, and hasn't for millennia [as it might not for a > Kardashev II civilization...hmmm].

EPIC cool saber...Best of luck with the run!

To DREAM the IMPOSSIBLE DREAM. To FIGHT the unbeatable foe. To BEAR with unbearable sorrow. To RUN where the brave dare not go. To RIGHT the unrightable wrong. To LOVE, PURE AND CHASTE, FROM AFAR [-sigh-]. To TRY, when your arms are too weary; to REACH the unreachable Star!... This is my Quest; To follow that Star, no matter how hopeless, no matter how far...

Awesome hilts.  I can't wait to see the completion.  I can also speak to the "timing" issue.  I know for a fact these of have been in the works for more that two and a half years.  I also know that they would have been completed at the end of December 2013 had there not been some other considerations that came up and delayed them.  Then the "timing" issue would be moot.

Its not like they reached into the magic drawer and pulled out a nearly completed hilt just when another version appears on the scene. :D

In any case, I don't see it being a problem for anyone.  Prices and trim levels will obviously be different between different offerings.  There's plenty of room for more than on TFU II trailer saber out there just as there are for TFU I Starkiller's.  There is in fact a nice JK version of Starkiller's saber up for sale right now, unless it sold :)

So nobody should feel slighted, or stepped upon.  Please lets just enjoy the variety of offerings that now grace the community.  Think back just a few years when we had very little choice in what was available for anything.  No advanced sound boards, limited LED choices, poor maimed MR or Hasbro sabers littering the wasteland.... :)

My two credits....and thank you Vader's Vault for bringing these to life!!

This is going to be one awesome looking TFU II version. All I can say is WOW! On a side note, was there ever a consideration for doing a small run of the "in-game" version as well or strictly just the "promo" version? Definitely not knocking the promo saber at all. The detail on this is fantastic! Looking forward to it! Way to go VV!!  :D

I'm assuming just one run at a time? Not doing the in-game and promo runs at the same time. That would be a lot on your plate all at once. I can't wait to see this one in it's completion. Too gorgeous!
