unfortunately all the 14500's at lighthound only have a highest capacity of 800mah.. looking for more like 2200 or better..

2200mAh on a 14500? Do those even exist? For 2200mAh you'd need at least 18500s, probably 18650s. My 18500s are only 1500mAh.

You could possibly do a quad-pack of batteries in parallel/series for 4x 14500s for 7.4v and like 1600-1700mAh, but at that point you'd be better off using 18xxx's. Unless I misunderstood the question.

If theh exist they don't have a good enough discharge rate to power a saber.  If you want more capacity, you are going to have to use a bigger battery.  Evej though the AW batteries might say they have less capacity than the trustfires, the AWs aren't overrated like trustfires are.

In short, for our purposes, there is no such thing as a 2200 mAh 14500 (again, for pur purposes).

From my understanding AW batteries aren't a brand in and of themselves, but are simply batteries that have been tested and confirmed to be their actual capacity and rating and then re-labeled.

So while a Ultrafire or Trustfire may be rated higher than an AW battery of the same type, the AW battery is actually going to be that rating while the UF/TF is going be lower than it's specs in reality.

3.7v 14500s are 800mah at best. only 18650s or bigger will give you 2200mah or more.

Correct, aw are just ones that they rebrand that are confirmed to be at or close to the capacity they state.  But my point was if there aren't aw batts with that capacity or close to it, they probably don't exist (for our purposes).

good info..

and I was just shooting a number when i said 2200.. not really looking for that capacity (although it would be nice) just something, well, MORE!!

unfortunately with mt setup I require them to fit side by side so I need the 14500 size but would like the highest amount of run time.. I am running a cfv5 with all its bling and 2 2w speakers and a rumble motor.

Here's a good listing at the bottom telling about what the battery numbers mean and how to size them  ;)

yes 14650 is an option.. they can be as long as 2 1/2" each to fit my chassis and AA diameter to fit side by side in it and still fit the mhs..
