This was my project with John. It started during his Christmas sale at the end of 2009

http://www.fx-sabers.com/forum/index.php?topic=22889.0

$1300 and a lost CF4.something that I sent to him.

The funny part was he actually shipped it out to me but there was a short on the CF sd cardholder and I sent it back and he was going to swap out a board and ship it right back. He was then going to send my board to ERV for repair.

My last contact with John was on 8/25/2010 when he responded to an email.

"I'm here. ' of a month and I just can't get to CA long enough. I have a couple customers including you with open orders and I'm going to be temporarily refunding their deposits until I can send them their tracking numbers. A bit extreme, but I would always prefer to err on the safe side and reassure my customers that their investments are safe with ArkLight Arsenal. Time is the only culprit right now and I'll need another week or two to get the saber tested and shipped. "

Sorry about the language filter in the quote. I didn't even read it.

All the pictures he provided for me on these projects were kept in individual folders on his photobucket account.  I didn't think to copy any of them for myself, and if I did I dont' know where they are now.  He has since put passwords on all of them, but proof of his contracts with me are still there via the folder names and asking for the password to view them.  Here's an example of one of them:
http://photobucket.com/guestlogin?albumUrl=http://s49.photobucket.com/albums/f285/AKD001/Steve%20TPM/

Outstanding projects owed by Arclight Arsenal:

1) $400 deposit for materials + aprx $100 in electronics (no soundboard) for 1:1 Mace Windu reveal/g-core.  Paid to get in on what he said was a run of 3.

2) Larbel Obi TPM G-core with CF4.0x (can't remember now, but it was one of the first series of 4.0's if memory serves), sent Larbel TPM Obi, $250 deposit and the CF.

3) Custom unknown Obi TPM (it really looked like a flat MR Obi TPM EE).  Sent the saber, electronics, US2.0, no deposit-was to pay upon completion. Still have this saved here in the forum from him:
WORK SUMMARY

CUSTOMER:
Steve Fletcher

PROJECT:
Obi Wan TPM Custom
USv2.0/LuxIIISRD/2xCR123A Rechargeable

EMITTER:
1) Bore out 1" blade holder
2) Drill and tap set 6/32 set screw for blade retention
3) Drill and tap new holes for bezels
4) Reconstruct bezels with 10/32 button head screws with clear epoxy
4) Cut and fit a hollow spacer, held in place by the three converging bezels, positioned directly over the lens
5) Modify lens/holder to fit into existing emitter throat
6) Modify LED PCB to fit into existing emitter throat
7) Install custom copper finned heatsink
Calibrate entire optic assembly above for proper alignment

THROAT:
1) Fabricate two cell RCR123A holder
2) Fabricate nylon shim/spacers to suspend holder in center of throat (also with sliding in/out access for cell servicing)
3) Drill and tap second set screw to reinforce neck/throat overlap

BODY:
1) Custom cut black shroud to accommodate USv2 board
2) Install USv2 (including nylon standoffs and PVC sleeve above grip area)
3) Program USv2 to customer's specifications (current, volume, swing, clash)
3) Drill and install tactile switch in rear corner groove of black shroud
4) Fabricate custom speaker resonator chamber (fully serviceable)
5) Drill and tap charge port hole (45 degrees on Z axis from existing covertec wheel) --other option is to install it in the pommel... Cleaner look, but it's your choice
6) Install charge port with battery pack and kill key
7) Route all wiring into semi-permanent plastic conduit (to prevent rattling)

POMMEL:
1) Drill 7/16" hole at base of pommel all the way through to speaker
2) Fabricate black PVC plug for hole (when saber is on display)
3) Drill three holes in pommel stem, aligned with every other pommel cube for aesthetic uniformity
4) If charge port is installed at the tip of the pommel, then also drill additional holes around sloped radius, three, aligned with alternating pommel cubes.

OVERALL:
1) Chamfer edges throughout where possible
2) Polish metal components if preferred (OR, I can weather the saber slightly to match its current "used" condition)

OPERATIONS PERFORMED:
Drilling: 12
Tapping: 5
Milling: 2
Custom fabricated parts: 5

WORK:
10-12 hours for planning, fabrication, installation, finishing, and testing

WARRANTY:
14 Days for all workmanship

What do you think?

John

4) custom larbel quigon reveal/g-core style--lost the saber and $350 deposit, this was the last communication from him on that:
Hey Steve,

You're never a bug, and certainly never a bother!  Remember, you've been one of my first and longest customers and I'm always happy to answer anything you have.   Most of the albums I leave public, unless they're top, TOP, secret....

I'll update your album this weekend with the latest. Now that the new emitter has been built, I'm toying with the idea of replacing the grip, too. 'Always trading time for innovation, I suppose. That said, I DO need to finish this and send it back to you. I can't wait to see the look on your face when you get it.

Thanks for the kudos on the name...I figure after doing this in the shadows for several years I might as well make it official (that, and the fact that only yesterday did the Mods invite me to post in the Mining Colony). I think someone got wind of my competitive [lower] prices...

'Anyway, have a great weekend.

John

My last communication from him was December 28th, 2009.  I gave up attempting contacting him and stewed in my own foolish anger after the end of February after hearing nothing from him or getting ANY package.

I am just going to leave this here...
since this is the reason i stopped coming around.

I had a deal with Goodman, I am lucky enough that I did not lose nearly the amount others here did, in items or monetary value.

He was supposed to do a custom Ahsoka Tano for me.  Was going to have an Ultrasound 2.1 in it.
I sent him the deposit, and the chip.

I got the same run around everyone else did... he wasn't happy enough with a part of the saber, and he constantly needed to start over to make it better.

I fell for it.  Eventually he offered to refund my money but never did.  With the promise he would still complete the saber for me.  I sent him numerous e-mails, and finally he stopped responding.

here is my first e-mail from him with the details:

This work summary offer expires in 14 days. By accepting the offer you agree to not sell the saber for at least 90 days to protect my low costs. Please keep all arragements and costs confidential. Contact me with any questions you may have and how you would like to move forward with your fully custom 1:1 Ahsoka saber.

Thank you,
John Goodman
ArkLight Arsenal

I paid my deposit of 301.00, and like everyone else, I am out of that money.
Sorry I didn't speak up sooner.

I purchased a "virgin" Larbel Qui from Goodman on April 4th of 2010! To the tune of $250. It remained in his possession and my build was never finalized.  All the other components stayed with me.

John has done his very best to take care of outstanding transactions.  We had put out several "all calls" to try and make sure everyone was taken care of over the last 2 years.  We were unaware of your transaction.  I am certain that John will be happy to take care of it.  Please PM him the Paypal transaction receipt so he can try to resolve this.  Since we were previously involved in facilitating the situation, if you like you can CC me or STARKILLER.
