**Original customer balked, so this is now for sale in the Classifieds**
This saber is called "KingsMeat", named to reference one of my favorite short stories of the same name, written by Orson Scott Card. You'll have to read his story to fully appreciate all the little design cues of this altogether elegant and heinous saber design. USv2.5+SP4G.
Intended to have a Zweilander feel (two handed type Medieval-era broadsword), the saber is composed of modified MHS and pipe parts. I like the longer length with the pronounced pommel at the end, which houses a removable pommel crystal component.
I can't say I'm
'proud' of the saber, but for now, I am 'happy' with it. It doesn't have enough bells and whistles, but I guess to some people that can be a good thing. I do like the many width changes along its length, the wider "crown" effect that the claws add, and the brass rings in the grip are a convenient accent to the gold AV switch. I also wired the saber with as minimal slack as possible...you can see in my PB gallery how I had to use tweezers to pull the wires through the heatsink's holes in order to solder them in place...the electronics are literally "sewn in" to be tamper resistant ;)
Finally, the 1/8" milled grooves along the top of each of the three claws is going to be engraved with Aurabesh characters with references to Orson Scott Card's gruesome and engaging story of power, pity, and revenge.
