I love Graflex designs.  I also wanted to design a windowed crystal chamber saber and the original Starkiller saber lends to this as well.  Using cues from both of these iconic designs and putting my own design flavor into it resulted in the named for now “Starwalker Saber” .

Just seeing what type of interest there is for a run on this design.  Still getting pricing ironed out, but looking to be $225-$250 per hilt.  $100 dollar deposit.   Should be ready by the end of the summer.   Not taking deposits yet, but gaging interest.  There will be 2 chassis options which are sold separately, one with a crystal chamber (shown below) and the other with a recharge port (still in the design phase).  Both will be available through me and Shapeways.

Let me know of your interest and/or thoughts.  Questions welcomed.

I'll be doing some installs for this run.  I have other certified installers that will help if the demand for installs gets too high and I can't turn them in timely manner, so it shouldn't be a problem. : )

I've been wanting an Obi-style grenade mixed with a Graflex, and the gold! Hopefully I'll have some funds when this gets up and running.

Cool design! Interested!

Wondering what soundboard + battery options this can potentially fit?

Also, you mentioned that there are 2 chassis options, the crystal chamber one, and one with a recharge port.
Does this mean that the crystal chamber one doesn't have a recharge port?

Both will have recharge ports.  On the crystal chamber one the recharge port is back near the speaker (shown in pics).  The other chassis will have the recharge port where the crystal chamber is on the other chassis.  This will enable the user to charge without opening in the saber to get to the chassis.

These chassis will be tailored to work with all soundboards both Plecter and NEC,, but really are only for single cell 18650s.

Interested for sure but I'm torn between this and the other one it seems to be based on, the threshold.

I'll ship worldwide and always try to find the best rates.

Interested for sure but I'm torn between this and the other one it seems to be based on, the threshold.

I just received a Threshold and can attest it is a beautiful and extremely well designed saber...as this looks to be also. I guess it depends on whether you want a beautiful saber right now or a beautiful saber when this is ready but you wont go wrong either way. And I suspect Habbena wouldn't mind if you buy Threshold now and this later... ;)

I'd like to do that myself, though I just blew all my 'saber $aving$' on the TCSS May-the-4th sale and on my new Threshold - which was a great purchase :).

So count me as 'interested' but alas I can't make any 'commitment' yet until I see how my 'saber budget' shapes up over the next couple months...judging by the Threshold though I'm betting this will be another winner and prized by whomever gets one.

Real soon.  The turn around is going to be quite quick, as a good number of parts are already produced.  The chassis is still in its final design.  There will be several chassis options.  Hoping for an announcement and actual pics next week.

I also have a Graflex style saber about ready that is akin to the Threshold, but is Graflex based rather than MPP based.  Should be ready soon as well.

Thanks for your interest.

This sounds very interesting.  I'd love to be able to see some pics of the design.  I missed them before the photobucket night of the large fees.

I have pics of the actual saber likely by the end of the week.

The great photo bucket disaster will reverberate here for years to come, unfortunately.

Figured I'd give a couple of pics of progress of the Starwalker saber.  There are still some pieces being manufactured, but the end date on this is near and it will be offered soon.  I also removed all the dead pics from the Photobucket debacle.  The hilt turned out great.  More info and pics  coming soon.

I think I'll have to pass on this one and wait for the threshold to come back. That crystal  chamber is really nicethough. If you ever upgrade the threshold to have this chamber it'd be awesome.

I'm still hoping to grab one of these

The final pieces should be finished early next week.  I may have a short video demo of a quick Nano build of one this weekend (with Crystal Chamber).  We will see
