Title: GRAFLEX-FX-SABERS "The LIST & PRICES" 2008
Post by: Yoda on September 29, 2007, 08:31:06 PM
Hello Everyone

In order to make Graflex production efficient for me to keep up with building sabers and considering everyones
different financial situations these unclaimed Sabers will be FIRST COME FIRST SERVE to those who
are "ready to buy status".

From this point on the list will simply be one "inquiry list" and those on it will be listed as follows:
(default status is inquiry)

Member Name (status: READY TO BUY or INQUIRY)

example:
YODA (status: READY TO BUY 9/29/07)
or
YODA (status: Inquiry 9/29/07)

I plan to continue building them as long as there is demand so as they are "in stock" they will be made available.
to those who are ready to buy status in the order of said status submission.

I will let everyone know how many Replicas are available this coming week after I finish the last of the vintages.

Vintages are all spoken for at this point and future Vintage orders will be considered Custom Orders
provided as send ins. Vintages will be listed on eBay and are subject to hilt acquisition cost.

MTFBWY
always
YODA

Please understand I had to make these revisions and I hope they seem fair to everyone.
Those who are ready to buy should be allowed to and it allows me to continue making them more efficiently.

Hello everyone

As you will notice I have updated this list with those who have first responded and are ready to buy as of 9/29/07

These people are listed in order of their response and notification of ready to buy status therefore they will be the
first to be able to acquire the remaining available systems that were canceled from the original list.

As Graflexs are completed I will be contacting customers accordingly.
You will know when yours is being worked on because your name will be moved under the "sabers in production" ;)

FYI:
As I've said before...
Once these first few Graflexs are out of stock I will be ordering more and the supporting parts to continue
on building as long as there is demand for them ;D

Patience is the key word  :D

The Systems for the first run have long since been sold out and the last couple will be going out soon.
( I only had 20 boards for the first run )

Then I'll be preparing for the second run which will encompass most of the new people on the list.

This will be contingent on when the next run of Ultrasound comes out as well so hang in there everyone
more will be coming...

Yoda,
Greetings again my fellow Jedi ! I'm going to wait to send mine in (until you cantact me) as I am in the process of customizing the exterior with engravings of Jedi sayings. In the Aurek-Besh language.  I have already removed the original interiors for your convience. I would also like to confirm  With   ESB/ANH +USB +crystal chamber. This will truly be a piece of art once you've done your thing to it !

Right now I'm waiting to hear back from Ultra about more soundboard developments so as soon as
I know what's going on there I will update everyone ;)

not to get too far off topic but is there a chance you'll be working on a chassis to house a crystal focus?:)

I've been referring plecter installations to Xwingband and have discussed some things with him about future Ideas
in fitting things.
I've also put in a message to Novastar who has used erv's board quite a bit.
He lives close enough to me that I'd like to collaborate on his usage of those boards before going further
so once I talk to him and get to see what special needs to address I'll be looking in to it but I can't say
for sure one way or the other right now.

We will wait to make a separate topic on this until I know more...

I'll keep everyone updated as things go along ;)

I'm a bit confused.

Graflex or Vintage Graflex, whats the difference?
I thought I had to purchase a Vintage because thats what they used in the movie.
Is Yoda selling this Vintage versions or is Yoda using MR Anakins for that and rebuild them.
I hope not because those are not that acurate in size.
I have to say that I dont care so much for the Vintage name on the bottom.
I even don't mind to have extra holes in the bottom iff that makes the sound much louder, but I do want that Graflex saber to be acurate in size.

I must say that I never here anyone complaning for that matter but still,... I like to know.

I supply the Replicas for those who want them which is what the list is composed of ;)

...but for a Vintage I only take send ins because the vintages I have
go to ebay like my negotiators and ambassadors.

Thank you Yoda for the fast reply, I know that you're very bussy.
Thats why I didn't write this directly point to you. No offence.
It's still not that clear to me. (maybe I have to read more topic)

The replica's,.. they have noting to do with Master Replica?

Do you have Graflex replica's that are exact like the Vintage, but not from Vintage?
Or do I have to purchase a Vintage if I want a 1:1 scale

I read so much Graflex without Vintage.
It's a bit confusing to me.

No problem...

Correct the Replicas have nothing to do with master replicas.  :D

They are the most accurate duplications of the original graflex design and are basically a newly made functioning
camera flash when I first get them from Parks.
He has Hilts on His site built up in the way he liked to do them.

The Vintage obviously much older being from 1930-1945 and are more of a collectors item.

Replicas are new metal and better if used for more frequent dueling and look new like the MR LE hilts.
Vintage are more for the occasional Duel and primarily for show and display because of their age and value.
In either case I start with a bare flash and style it for the appropriate ANH or ESB look.

Also when you buy a completed saber form me using a replica it's cost is discounted and included in the overall cost
so when it comes to replicas it is best to get them through me for a completed system order.
( I also quality control them by doing this as well )

Send ins are primarily The Vintage Graflexs people have that they want professionally converted int one of my
working systems.

Graflex is just a kind of flash used by photographers. This was used to make the props for Luke during the filming of SW. The original/ vintage graflex flashes were made by Folmer Graflex Company or something, and have since gone out of production.

However replicas are being made, and are used to make both flashes or converted into saber hilts. Although both the vintage and replicas look nearly the same, the vintage gives a more aged and used look, more true to the original and the storyline. (Luke's saber being used by Anakin for many years and then stored for some years by Ben.)

Since then, saber hilts based on the Graflex, has simply been referred to as such.

Here you go Darth Matth-

A replica on Ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/STAR-WARS-LIGHT-SABER-GRAFLEX-3-CELL-FLASH-HANDLE_W0QQitemZ130239164073QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item130239164073&_trksid=p3286.m14.l1318

A vintage on Ebay

The Parks' replicas go for about $150 so anymore than that for a vintage and you are wasting money unless you have your heart set on a vintage like I did last year.  But IMO Parks is so accurate you can't tell other than there is no aging or wear.  Mine only cost $130 over a year ago but since then the market is shooting up as they are becoming more rare.  I have seen them go over $200.  Many times the sellers start the bidding at $200+ some even pushing $300.  >:(  And many of these have really bad rust and wear.

Thank you Yoda & Cybknight for clearing this up.
I had this question in my mind for over a year now.

So when your done with the replica Graflex rebuild, and they are true in size, than I don't mind it to be a replica Graflex, because I was planning to dual with them, and I don't want my Luke ESB to fall down in peaces, if it's made of a Vintage.
Especially when they come from Parks like you said.
Parks hilts are very strong, I believe.
Is that where you get your Negosiator hilts from too?
I also like that one very much, especially with a CF:).
I like to order them both, but you sell the Negosiator only from eBay, to bad.
I always mis those.

Also thank you for the links Luke Skywalker, but it's like Yoda said.
He delivers them himself and it will be cheaper for me too when I buy the whole saber from him including the Graflex. so I don't need the Graflex-hilt anymore.

Yoda,...
They keep making those Graflex replica's will they.
It would be terrible when it's my turn, you can't get them anymore.

Matth,

The Parks replicas and the vintage are identical in every way, even in durablilty provided you don't buy a junk one that has been sitting in a mud puddle since the 40's.  I had to go vintage since I wanted to go closest to the real thing.  Can't get any closer than using what Uncle George used.  But I duel with mine and don't fear breakage.  Now with that said I am not going Magilla Gorilla on it either.  Typical choreographed should hold up fine.  If you do some youtube searching you will see master yoda at an after hours C IV party and he is going to town on his vintage.  They are made to be played with.  When you get the urge to go wacking telephone poles as hard as you can or going at it with a friend like Conan than that is the time to whip out your Ultrasabers stunt since they only cost $100.  ;)

Keep an eye out on Ebay and just watch what they go for.  If you can beat $100 and it's not a rusted piece of junk I say go for it.

IIRC you get all the parts you need to display your graflex as either ANH or ESB. (2 different grip sections, 2 different clamps). someone will correct me if I'm wrong

(basically, you get an 'extra' bottom-half-of-the-hilt-shell to interchange between ESB and ANH)  ;)

I still have a question about the collectors kit.

You get 2 sabers at ones ( Bottoms though), but with the CF boards all the buttons are in use, so how do you switch from the glas eye to the red button, when you chenges from ANH to ESB?

Or do I have to choose that button perminently?
If so, I really like the ESB saber the most because of all the details in it and it is louder, but I like the glas eye from the ANH version the most.

An ESB with glass eye???

Or does Yoda have a solution for that too?

Or can I only choose for one saber when I stick to CF?

I ordered a ESB but I'm thinking of the Collectors-Kit.
Title: Re: GRAFLEX-FX-SABERS "The LIST & PRICES" 2008
Post by: Luke S. on July 24, 2008, 07:10:55 AM
Matth you and I are on the same page.  There is a glass eye on one of the ESB versions I think Dagobah, and I prefer that better.  OF course mine is using a STEVE so no aux button.  I am not sure what Yoda does for ANH CF, but there are two options.  1. He puts a very small switch on the end of the clamp, (hardly noticable) and 2. He uses the slide switch to the left of the red button, (more difficult but more accurate IMO).

I am pretty sure he puts it on the clamp but I can't remember.   I say if you really want this set send it out to one of the sabersmiths to mod for you.  Yoda coudl easily hook you up on an aux switch mod if he has the time.

Post by: Darth Matth on July 24, 2008, 01:39:25 PM
Okay,... the glass eye is not to use as a button.
That I didn't knew.
Also I didn't knew there was a moment in ESB there was a glass eye on that saber.
There is much I don't know, I see.

That's to bad, Iff the glass eye was functional and knowing 'it's legal' on a ESB, my choice was easy.
One saber to have it all.

There is alway's something, ha.

Yoda,... can you make a real Vader ANH too, like how you make a Luke ESB from a Graflex?
Do we already know what parts they used for the Vader ANH saber?
It would be a nice add to the Graflex.

I first thought of converting my MR Vader ANH, but it is not at the right scale, and not as heavy and detailed as the real thing, so we need you for that.

(For the scale, I found out to compare the MR Mini's to eachother, and the Vader ANH is smaller than the Luke ESB (which I think is the same size as the Anakin), but when I compare the Anakin ROTS to the Vader ANH Force FX's the Anakin is smaller than the Vader.
For the weight, I Also had a Vader EL in my hands and those are much heaviër than the hilt of my Vader Force FX.
It was a bit of a long way comparison, but I think it works.)

I believe what you want for the vader is called an MPP.  Similar flash type like the graflex.  For more detailed info go to partsofsw.com  they list parts used and also variations.  There are some discrepancies and controversies to their info but I think most of it is pretty accurate as they use many screen shots to back of their claims.

George never thought of Hi Def and widescreen tvs in our homes.  Heck in 77 no one even had VCRs.  He was less than accurate in his use of props.  For ESB there was 2 buttons, glass eye red button, and red button empty hole where glass eye goes.  Most people take the two red buttons as canon and George I believe does as well but technically they are all official.
I believe the vader uses what's called an MPP flash similar to a graflex.

I saw the Saberkit at Parks.
For the price of less than two saberhilts you get three of them.
The Graflex Luke ESB.
The MPP Vader ANH.
The Obi-Wan ROTS.
The MPP even had the coiled emiter on it.

Is the Parks-MPP emiter to small for the 1"blade?
Otherwise Yoda can easily put the electronics in the MPP instead of the Graflex and make a Vader ANH of it.
In that case I can be set on the list as a Graflex ESB And MPP Vader ANH.
Both with a CF4 board after Heloween that is, and Both with a Crystal chamber. (The Vader ANH with a RED one. WOW!!)

Yada,... is it possible to change my 'Undecided' into the above?

You have to send Yoda a Personal Mesage for it.
It's on the left side, below someone's Avatar and Lyrics, next to the Profile and e-mail button.
Read the first page of this topic very good and tell him what you want.
He will put you on the list, but it can take a wile.
They are extremely bussy right now, because of the new coming Ultra-cards I've heart, and Yoda is  making a set of lightsabers for the eBay sell.
I know about the Negotiator (Obi Wan AOTC), but all the time he sold the Ambasador (Qui-Gon-Jinn TFM) and the Graflex all the same time.
Once he have put you on the list, it still takes about more than a year, before it's your turn.
I'm on the 10e place and look at the date I was put on it.

You can bid on the eBay selling, only you pay a few hundred more for it.

Good luck.

Master Yoda does the graflex conversions. If you want to get on the list, PM him. There are other sabersmith's that do Graflex conversions, but Yoda's are the best.

I own two ;D

I'm still on the list as undecided, and I still am.

It accure to me, that the glass eye, that I like so much, is a peace that's original on the Graflex flashgun.
I think, George replaced it for the red button in the ESB, so it was more differend from the flashgun, to make it look more like a lightsaber.
I thought of choosing the ESB, but with a glass eye instead of that red button.
Also because that glass eye appears in the ESB movie as well (a Jedi wrote that in here).
It would have been possible with the Ultra soundboard 2.0, because that one only use one switch.

I also thought of buying the collectors Kit, and place the ANH upper-hilt on the ESB bottom-part and see how it will look, but the differense is not only the glass eye but also the see-through will be missing.

Now I'm not so sure of my choice anymore.
So,... I'll let the CF4 option make my choice.

Hey Krig, did yoda give you any time frame of how long it would take to build your saber?

Also I have it set to go to my outbox when I PM someone but its not there when I check
so how do I know if Yoda received my PM. Is there a way on this site to check your sent PM's

Last thing Krig, are you doing a vintage or replica?

You have to check the "save a copy in my inbox" box on the bottom of the PM screen in order to see it in your outbox history.

YODA

Please understand I had to make these revisions and I hope they seem fair to everyone.
Those who are ready to buy should be allowed to and it allows me to continue making them more efficiently.

What was your point in restating everything Yoda already has, PLUS reporting this post so that the mods all got notification of it with a note stating "ready to buy".

If you're ready to buy a saber, this is definitely not the way to get our attention to it.  There is plainly a waiting list.   >:(

Hello artvic and welcome to the forums. Your wanting one of Master Yoda's Graflex's huh? You don't play around do you, going for the creme of the crop.  :D  Like our Sith Lord, Darth Vader said, there is a waiting list for these and for good reason. I suggest you PM Master Yoda with your request.

This is how to send a PM. http://www.fx-sabers.com/forum/index.php?topic=12516.0

I also suggest you visit this thread, our rules and regualtions. http://www.fx-sabers.com/forum/index.php?topic=10747.0

After that feel free to explore. The search button is your friend as well. If you can't find an answer to a question you may have then feel free to ask away.

Exactly what I did DM.  I love teh glass eye better and since it was in ESB it is officially canon, as is no eye or no red button just an empty hole.  Go to partsofsw for more info on the different variations.  Not sure what you mean by "see through will be missing".

On top of the hilt above the rabbit ears you have a hole on the ESB, I thought the ANH saber doesn't have that.
I'm not so sure about that anymore.
I know the anakin didn't have that.

I thought all authentic Graflex's have that "hole" between the ears.  Isn't that where the blade retention screw is?  On an actual Graflex Camera flash, that was also the location of the mounting screw for the flash.

No the blade retention screw on Master Yoda's work is either the glass eye or the bottom button on the ESB.

Here is a link to a review of the Luke ESB vs ANH vs Anakin from Louis
http://www.fx-sabers.com/forum/index.php?topic=9172.0
And here, down this reply, you already have a picture from that review.
Louis, I hope you don't mind. Now we all are going to read your review again. ;)

I was a bit surpriced, to see that they both have that hole on top, only the ESB on a MR saber has two rectangle holes between the ears that the ANH is missing.

How is this on the Graflex?
Or is the only difference from the top hilt (seen from top to clamb) the glass eye and the red button?

Today I was in a moviestore and I saw a MR Luke ESB EL.
For 'only' €450,-- it's about $675,--
I had it in my hand for a while, and watched it.
Compared to the pictures I've seen, this EL is not as beautyfull as Yoda's detailed Graflex.
He puts all the details that's seen in the ESB movie, on this saber.
Yoda's Graflex ESB is better looking, but also a working one.

I admit I know nothing about the FX versions as I don't own an FX.  But as for the original ANH and ESB they both used a vintage graflex so they would be indentical on thegraflex shell.  Differences being glass eye vs red button, mylar tape, d ring bracket, and clamp bubbles or computer strip, number of grips and screws added to grips.  As for holes no holes etc they are both the same.

Post by: Darth Matth on September 27, 2008, 12:25:31 PM
Hmmm,... okey, I think MR wanted to make the difference a bit bigger, between those two.
One thing I'm still interrested in is, the ESB has 6 grips, the ANH has 7.
Are the grips differend in thickness?
If not, and ANH has 7 of the same grips as the ESB, than the ANH-hilt feels bigger, holding it in your hand by that grip-part.

Well again I know nothing of the MR line so they could be thicker in hilt diameter.  But the original graflex will be the same with the mentioned 6 or seven grips.

Check out this site for great tips on the actual items used to make the props and the differences between the movie variations.

Master Yoda is extremely busy right now with lots of irons in the fire.  He was instrumental in getting the US 2.0 up and running and with that coming out soon that will take a load off.  But he also has a huge list of graflex builds to do so I wouldn't expect much from him.  Everyone will get theirs in do time.  But if I were on the list I would rather he not be on the forum and working on sabers instead.  ;)  Kind of why he has all these mods.  His goal is to have the site run itself so he doesn't have to,  soooooo he can spend more time building his sabers.

From a graflex owner and the X owner of an MR Anakin, and played with a ANH in the store, I can tell you there is no comparison.  If you want to be a close the the real deal as you can, you can't beat a Yoda graflex.  IF you can afford it they are worth every penny and IMO a little bit more.

To me the graflex MR line feels like toys where the real graflex whether vintage shell or Park's replica feels perfect.  Let's face it.  That is what George built his out of so you can't get any closer.  In fact his was inferior as it had no sound or cool blade it was just an emtpy shell.  So ours are better than his...."from a certain point of view."  ;)

I think the fact that the auction had ended on July 4th was a MAJOR factor in why there wasn't much competition on that one.

That ( $700+/- ? ) end price was an absolute steal for this saber.

I did have an order question, however I do have a question I'm sure one of you could answer and that is if the Crystal Chambers come on all his lightsabers, or if it's only included in the Crystal Focus Version for $600 some odd dollars.  Those look sweet and I'm very new to this.  Does that crystal chamber make the blade have that pulsating effect to the lighting?
Title: Re: GRAFLEX-FX-SABERS "The LIST & PRICES" 2008
Post by: Jedi-Diah on October 03, 2008, 04:13:32 PM
The "crystal chamber" has nothing to do with the blade pulsating or with Crystal Focus. The crystal chamber is a stand alone unit (I think) independant from the blade LED driver and can be installed in conversions that do not use Crystal Focus.

Crystal Focus is the best soundboard/LED driver that can do the "pulsating" blade effect although other LED drivers can do this as well (such as the Ultrasound 2.0 and Corbin's driver). The Crystal Focus conversion costs more because the Crystal Focus hardware costs more and the installation is more complicatied.

The crystal chamber doesn't actually *do* anything except look super cool and make your saber look more "realistic" (because "real" lightsabers in the SW universe are supposed to have a crystal inside the hilt as per the pic in the illustrated encyclopedia).

Go to www.plecterlabs.com to find out more about the Crystal Focus soundboard. It's pretty amazing. Also check youtube for videos of lightsabers using Crystal Focus. They look and sound great.

Jedi-diah is correct.

The crystal chamber is only for display.  It is only there to impress your friends and look uber cool.  I have mine and love it.  It looks real inside and out.  It is turned on by twisiting the led assembly to make contact with the batteries.  And yes stand alone only with small button batts.

Yoda was doing version with and without.  I am guessing that if you wanted to have larger batteries that you needed the space for you could have him leave the crystal chamber out.  This is only my opinion though and we must wait until Master Yoda releases that info.

IMO get the whole nine yards.  This saber rocks and it is a true piece of art not to metion fun to play with.  Get another saber like an ultra stunt or have one machined or do a TCSS MHS if you want a saber to beat on more.  Don't get me wrong the graflex can take a beating and it is meant to be played with but if you want to go all Conan on a telephone pole you may want to use something that is not 60+ years old and not easy to replace.  Just my $.02.

haha, ok. that makes more sense!  Crystal Chamber/Crystal Focus...it got me all confused.  I do agree with you though, it's either go hard or admire from a distance :).  I've been doing research for the last 3 months on various sabersmiths and companies that do Force FX Conversions, and interestingly enough, ALL of them referred me here to speak with Master Yoda.  Talk about a reputation.  But it's very obvious to me that the quality of his work, and the features are the best you can get.  It is a premium price, but then when I think about all the other movie props I have in my movie room (Legolas Screen worn Lothlorien Quiver w/ Gold Etched Daggers $3000) I realize I'm getting a great deal for the most sought after movie prop in the history of movies :)  Plus everyone on this forum is awesome.  So an overall amazing experience.  Thanks Guys.  I feel so stupid asking questions.

The kits if offered don not have a price tag yet as Yoda is still researching development options.  He will chime in I am sure when he knows what he is going to do.  And yes the chassis uses the Graflex Shop shorter blade holder.  IF you are building a graflex Yoda's chassis is the best.  It not only holds everything neatly but it looks amazing on the inside.  Everytime you take the batteries out you will swear you are opening up a real lightsaber.  You can't get any better than this for the time being.  I am sure Yoda will continue to outdo himself in the months and years to come.

My recomendation is to hold tight blademaster and see what Yoda unveils.  Yes IMO his chassis is the best thing for a graflex.  You just can't beat it.

Good to hear Yoda's alive, He's so awesome at responding to PMs, when he hadn't responded to mine I was a tad worried.
Hope all is well with you man!  8)

Looking forward to the DYI chassis!  ;D

No worries Baena, he's here just not on as much as he'd like to be.  Very busy he is with website changes, chassis to make, awaiting the US 2.0, and a broken laser cutter to boot.  I wouldn't expect to see him on much at all as he has a huge list of graflex hilts to produce.  His four little green fingers will be wittering away on those crystal chambers. :D

Yeah, it's incredible the amount of quality his poor fingers produce.  I can't imagine anyone would ever want to part with anything from him, not even for money.  Some guy on ebay is selling a Yoda made graflex, he's got to be sad.  Keep up the good work Yoda!!  We are all rooting for you!  I can't wait for mine!

How true.  I just gutted my graflex to sell off the parts so I could upgrade to Yoda's new crystal chamber.  I have a new one coming soon but that was still hard to part it out and ship off my empty hilt.  When you own a Yoda graflex you can never go back.   ;D

Still no word from Yoda  :'( :'( I PM'ed back in the beginning of September. He must be really
busy.  I am trying very hard to be patient, but just in case the Dark Side takes over, are there any
other members or places you can send your graflex to have it converted. I can't buy a Ultra sound2.0
everyone is "SOLD OUT", I know a lot of websites carry the conversion "kits" but is there anybody else
who actually does the conversion that would have soundboards and everything included?

Although I doubt anyone can compete with Yoda, I'm sure many other sabersmiths can convert a Graflex for you. By the way, TCSS still shows "stock available" for the Ultrasound 2.0:

http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/UltraSound-20-Pre-Sale-P318.aspx

I'm converting mine myself (for the fun of it and to save some $$) so, if I can do it, the well known sabersmiths on this site can do it much better...

Indeed, there's definitely no shortage of talent on this forum - as there are a number of people who can help you out.

But Master Yoda is THE man for this job, so I say hang in there a little longer, jay29.  The US 2.0 hasn't been released yet anyhow, so there will have to be a wait anyway if you want sound in your saber.

And you're right, Yoda is SUPER busy at the moment with a ton of things - including these Graflexes.

But take comfort in knowing that you're not alone.  There's a long list of people waiting for one of Yoda's masterpieces.

Patience.  Use the Force.   8)

I have a Graflex V from Yoda and all I can say is "WOW"!

I plan on doing a review soon, but this thing is amazing. I was already introduced to Yoda's craftsmanship with my Negotiator. But the Graflex V is in a class by itself.

But if you cannot wait, I'll be happy to sell you my Graflex V for $200k. I'll even ship it for FREE...  ;D

Because of cost increases on my end prices are going up a bit but there have been changes made that will soon be shown...
I will post an entire new thread with the first of these sabers that are for those on the list for completed sabers.

It has been an unbelievable amount of work to get through some of the changes and set backs this year that were
out of my control but through it I have a light at the end of the tunnel that I think everyone will be happy about.

Say more now I can not but show you all soon I will.

Hey Guys,

I hope this is not a stupid question but is it possible to get one of Master Yodas Graflex ANH style sabers with a crystal chamber and a crystal focus sound board?  (or is the crystal focus sound boards only available on the Graflex ESB versions since the hilt has two bottons?)

Thanks,

Watto

Wel, I don't think it's a stupid question.
I want a CF-board in it too, and the ESB is the best choice for that. Lucky me, I like that saber more.
But Yoda is very handy and always finds a way to find a solution for problems, on a way you never expect.
The Force is very strong with this little green friend of ours.

Thanks Darth Matth  ;)

Yes both the ANH and ESB sabers are "verrry nice" (to say the least).  I am planning on buying one of each,  1xANH & 1xESB Graflex saber from Master Yoda (when he has them available of course), both sabers with the crystal chambers and ideally both with the crystal focus sound boards.

I have seen videos on Youtube of people having Graflex ANH sabers with crystal chambers and crystal focus boards, however they had the aux button at the bottom of the hilt coming out of one of the sound holes which seems to work but sacrifices the external look of the hilt.  These I believe were from Erv.  Still  very nice sabers as well.

Yes, Master Yoda is very powerful indeed.  I hope it is possible and Master Yoda finds a way to have the best of both worlds (sounds + looks) with the ANH Graflex sabers.

For ESB, the aux switch goes under the second red button. For ANH, the aux switch can go under the glass eye (with a very thin mom switch).

Dagobah is currently in their rainy season and transmissions get blocked from all the interference due to the enormous amount of precip.  Yoda will post here when he has info to post.

How do I become a moderator so Yoda can build me a lightsaber!! It seems like
the only people showing off there new sabers are moderators.

I've sent 2-3...or 4 pm's, crap I can't even remember anymore, and have heard nothing.
I'm talking months and not even a "thanks for the pm I be in touch." but I always check the
forums and see new "Moderators" showing off their new lightsabers, and names added to the list

So, If it's true and it does require people to wait YEARS!! for their sabers. Then I regret to say
take me off the list! (If I was ever going to be added anyway)

Well I can't say exactly why Yoda has been off the forums so much lately but I do know he is very busy with many irons in the fire.

As for the list.  Yoda makes the best graflex hands down.  The list is long for a reason.  Most people wait for six months, a year or longer to get one of his sabers.  The current list has been up for a long time as there were limited options for soundboards.  Mainly none!  Now that the boards are out Yoda can tackle the hilts.  Each hilt takes hours and hours to create.   They are very detailed.  Working a full time job, having a family does not give much time for other things.  Yoda also had his laser cutter go down so he was looking into alternatives to getting the parts for his custom chassis.

All I can say is, it is worth the wait.  I have one with a CF and it is and always will be my favorite saber.  I will never part with it.

Very well said Master Luke.  Yoda is the man. He will talk to you when he can. I cant think of a time when yoda has ever left me hanging, and I had lots of questions about his chassis when i first started tinkering with graflex sabers. He always got back to me, always.
