Mara Jade grip section, Obi-Wan grenade grip, Obi-Wan-inspired emitter, and a purple LED...I am liking everything about this saber! :D Well done lawrs1, this making me want to put together an MHS based hilt myself ;)

Thanks for all the kind words, makes me feel that it did actually turn out quite good  ;D  and will probably add the screws to the grips, if I can find some locally that are the right size.

I know this is gonna sound weird, coming from me  ::) but I like how you did NOT put shrouds on it.  Not every saber needs them and with the pieces you choose, it works well!  Probably more comfortable too!   ;)

Great shade of purple also!  It's hard to photo reds and purples but you did well here!

Nicely done!

Some type of shroud would serve you well on the grenade section, to hide the exposed threads on the AV switch.  Maybe just a tube or a shield shape so not to hide too much of the grenade grip. Good job on your first build!

I made your pics clicky.   ;)

Shef does bring up a good point about the plate under the AV.  Take a look at a few of Qui-Gon's pictures where he used a small scrap of sink tube to fit under the button.  It adds a bit of a more "finished" look.  But I still wouldn't go full shroud with it.

Something like this:

Thanks for the clicky pics, knew I forgot something, and that was the kind of thing that I was thinking of, when I mentioned about a shroud.
